For the money they spend for Ukraine there could be built apartments for all homeless in US.

Shame on America for forgetting Americans, and yet taking their money to give away for foreign wars.
  • I never imagined seeing this decadence in America. It's so sad!

I was at the gas station and noticed a car full of belongings and a lady with her dog. I gave her $20 and she just started bawling and was extremely grateful. When I was in my 20’s I was homeless for 2 months and lived in my car. I know how it feels to be in that situation.

As long as there are people making money ( salaries, cottage industries, etc.) from " homelessness" it will never be "solved".

I think another reason for homelessness is the breakdown of the basic family structure, no media outlets seem to be discussing this. Two things you could probably point to, Divorce and Domestic violence. Also, lack of societal support systems, other than ssi, church groups, Salvation Army. And a few others. Greedy landlords and landowners.

Look for solutions. We in Singapore, 80-90% live in flats and at least there is roof over our head. Our building technique revolve into Lego module construction. All modules for dining, living, toilet, store rooms prefabricated in nearby factories and delivered to building sites. Once housing available to the homeless, rents will drop and your streets will not be so unsightly. Every human deserves a concrete shelter. The homeless guys can be employed at building sites and earn a salary to pay the rent.

Don’t come to Florida, you’ll get arrested for sleeping on the streets. I know it’s harsh but someone’s got to start trying to address this issue. I used to have drug issues when I was younger an yes opiates too. I got clean because I don’t like living to get high all day! Thank you Governor Desantis for trying to keep Florida from becoming like California! We definitely need affordable housing for all.
  • And in Florida, they get ready to make a law to arrest people for sleeping on streets or in public parks. So by definition, they go to stop criminalizing the homeless because they're growing too much, but America don't have the empathy to really stop it. Or slow it down. Could we spend billions and billions of dollars in Ukraine and Israel? But you can't spend that money on your own. People that don't make sense to me, but it is what it is.

Only the complete collapse of government will end homelessness.
  • @Bobgrapes25
Nothing, not even grand riches, can stop the increase of homelessness.
