Piercing Wail in act 1 is very useful vs the Sentries because it clears away ALL the artifacts at once. This can pair very well if you have a deck built around status effects such as poison or weak.

I really like the poison mechanic of the Silent. Yesterday I played my second round with Silent (on Ascension 1 btw.) and I was really lucky on getting poison cards and relics. I managed to pull off a sprint+ combo with bouncing flask and catalyst - everything upgraded. Two rounds later the final boss "corrupt heart" died with ~500 poison stacks on it. That fight was really intense since it was my first time fighting it and I went for the relic that keeps my cards while being on 3 energy only, which was probably a bad decision, since it left my hand card draw blocked after some turns, but in the end it enabled these crazy combos of getting so many poison stacks in one turn :D

Awesome spire channel! There are not many, really enjoying your content!

StS is a fun game, but it takes a lot of runs before you get that magical synergy of relics, cards, and ? locations going your way, but when you do get that run wow is it fun.
  • Thanks for the video, great explanations that helps a lot ! (My favorite is bane, really strong if you have any poison mechanic and still decent if you don't manage to poison the enemy on the right turn)

This was really helpful, but I only found videos for colorless, silent commons, ironclad commons, and watcher commons. Is there a video for defect that I can't find? If not, will we get one? These are really helpful. Also, I would be very interested in seeing this series expanded into the uncommon and rare cards. I'm a new player and this has been really helpful and has made me look and many cards differently (and try new things!)

What is your favorite Silent common card to take on floor 1? And why? Comment your answer below!
  • @roxienatura
Deadly poison! Especially in a Hexaghost/Guardian Act, it's such good scaling damage.
  • @kobarsos82
Personally love piercing wail, poisoned stab and deadly poison as early picks. They are simply pure value. Blade dance and cloak and dagger also pretty good. Although i always tend to favor the poison cards more vs the shiv ones to be honest when it comes to the whole runs.
  • @ACatienza
Blade dance! It just combos with so many different relics and abilities.
  • I love building poison decks so poison stab has to be my favorite. Upfront damage plus some extra poison, it's just fun. Pain in the ass with things like sentries, though.
  • I know it's not the best, but I love blade dance as a first choice, it's fun imo

My favorite card to see early in act 1 is without a doubt dagger spray. Any sort of aoe in act 1 makes the act so much more enjoyable. I feel blade dance is by far a better card, but I would prefer dagger spray as a floor 1 pick-up. I'd argue that dagger spray is more useful against the sentries and gremlin knob. I don't usually pick up more than one copy of dagger spray though.
  • @Ghorda9
bane is also a multi hit common, not just dagger spray.
