Doug is 6’3” or 6’4”, depending on the humidity and if congress is in session or not. Kind of quirky.

Only Doug can make me excited about a small chevy hatchback
  • It seems like Doug just enjoys saying “Bolt EUV” over and over again
  • @stock_biker
Last time I was this early, Doug was still bouncing in a Maybach.

If a loaf of bread went to high school with a bunch of blueberries, this is how it would dress to fit in.

"You only have one setting, on or off." (Bob Newhart voice) That... that's two settings.

The reason the lights have the Chevy logo is so that aftermarket companies can’t knock them off for insurance repairs.
  • The outer design is the kind of "yeah, that's good enough. Now I am off to the pub" look.

Doug is the type of the guy to say "look mom no hands" while using super cruise

I think it’s really cool that this is becoming the “baseline” as far as being a decent “car” - you get all the benefits of an EV at a very reasonable price. Really great!
  • 2017 Bolt is the best car I've ever owned. I bought it used and just passed 100k miles and I'm about to get a new battery through the recall with another 100k mile warranty.

every time I watch Doug's video I checked if I accidently set the video speed to higher than normal and realized that it's in normal speed.

Hey Doug, here are a few things you should consider when reviewing evs: -Does it have a heat pump? This can really make the difference in cold weather range and performance -Level 3 charge ability/speed. Most new evs will have level 3 ability but the speed at which they charge can vary greatly. For example, the Bolts can do about 50kwh max while the Kona can do around 70kwh, and the rates seem to be increasing with newer models all the time. This can have a big impact on how long you need to charge on a road trip. -Battery cooling. Regulating battery temperature is one of the most important things in maintaining battery health. Almost all evs use liquid cooling...except the Leaf. Do not buy a Leaf. I just bought a 2020 Bolt and had to look into all these things before deciding to buy it. I really like it so far even though there are better things on the market now. Anyway I'm sure you won't read ths ridiculously long comment but love the videos!

As a current Bolt EV owner I think Doug really hits the nail on the head w this review. Very accurate review of the car.

Doug in 2017 said the Bolt was “actually really quick” and “hauls” now he says its “it feels fine, not quick”. have you been hanging around teslas too much? dude 0-60 is still mid 6 secs and idk about you but thats pretty damn quick for a family commuter. are you trying to drag race Vin Diesel?

CANT WAIT FOR THE CADILLAC COUPE VERSION OF THIS -said no one

Its super cool that Chevy is pushing actually affordable EVs. We are definitely at the tipping point for EVs.

My husband just purchased a new bolt. He is absolutely in love with the car. No issues with wanting for range. Great practicality. He loves his bolt. I got a blazer on the same day. The blazer will be used for cargo and very long distance trips. The bolt is the daily driver.

Great review Doug. I own a 2017 Bolt EV which has been a great car. I actually think this EUV is better looking than the EV model, but that is a matter of preference. Seems like a great value and believe this will be a terrific vehicle for Chevrolet. The two things Chevrolet needs to add is all wheel drive option, and a faster charging system. I do think you scored it a little low for fun factor however as I find it very fun to drive and it has better acceleration than most gas cars. Thanks again!
