  • Just think, all these young people are now in the 70’s, like me💖

I'm 64 grew up on the Cali Coast as a surf rat. We desperately need to get back to this ideology. So sad where we are today 😔

I'm 31 yo and when I listen to this song I feel nostalgic for something I've never lived. It makes me dream. We need this to come back more than ever.
  • I’m a fast approaching 80 now but proud to say I was there in the swinging 60s and enjoyed every minute of it

I was there in the 60's upon my return from Vietnam in 67. The summer of love. The beautiful people. Met a sweet flower child there. I pray that life has been good to her. The world needs those people today.

I'm English and was born in 1949 so spent all of my teenage years in the 60's. This was a massive hit in the U.K. and I promised myself, at 18 that one day I would go to San Francisco. That happened when I was 43. Had a month long holiday on the west coast of America, took in all the sights. Los Angeles, Carmel, Monterey and up highway 1 to San Francisco. Drove over the Golden Gate bridge with the radio blaring and guess what came on the radio, yes this song. Top down, singing my head off, got some funny looks but also got some people joining in. It was everything I'd hoped it would be.

In such a vulgar and decadent world, how good it is to be able to hear a song like this, which brings us light and joy. I am 63 years old and I can say that we will always miss yesterday...Greetings from Brazil to all!

I get tears in my eyes with a smile when I hear this song. I was a teenager and life was good.
  • I'm not an American and I'm not a hippie I'm only 28 years old, but as soon as I hear this song, tears come to my eyes. What soulful songs were sung in the USA during that wonderful era.

The days of simple pleasures, more freedoms in life and a beautiful city on the water that people could afford to live in.

The planet needs "such a strange vibration" more than ever before.
  • My generation!!! I loved the '60s. The very best of my life was 'spent' there. Thanking God for my life and loves💝

How can this world have turned so bad in 2023, what an amazing time we oldies had then
  • While I was stationed in Southeast Asia in 67-68 this song was always played after the port calls for the next day were announced. We waited and waited for our name to be called because you knew you were going HOME the next day. I was one of the lucky ones. Such a beautiful song and Scott was amazing singing it. RIP Scott.
  • Such a beautiful and simple time it was. Now today everything is one big plastic hassle.

Being a teenager in the 70's was magical, I don't know a better way to describe it! The music from 60's/70's was revolutionary and today, 50 yrs later, is still unrivaled.
