  • we can say he saw us what do you think about the other gentleman out of jurisdiction they don't have hurt I could they be not from the LAPD essentially they're not genuine that's a question when you look into

    Daryl Gates maintained law and order in LA. Gates started as a police officer. He was not groomed to be chief. He had run ins with police in his youth prior to joining the LAPD. He grew up in working class Highland Park. What separated Gates was that he was a WW2 veteran and he had initiative. Say what you will, but Daryl Gates was an outstanding police chief and LA was much better for it. Take a look at LA now, it's a mess.
