Why do people act like not having children is selfish, when most of us know several people who should NOT have had children, they dont spend adequate time with them or love them to help them be stable adults...now that is SELFISH!!

I feel the same way Oprah does. I grew up in a broken home and I don't want to pass those problems on to my kids. Don't have kids until you figure out how to resolve your internal problems. It's not worth making innocent children suffer.

You don't have to like Oprah; but I'm willing to bet a lot of people wish they had her resolve. No woman owes society an explanation as to why she decides against/on being a mother.

Ahhh Oprah thank you! I am constantly judged for not wanting children. When I support other moms all the time. Why is this such a hard thing for people to accept!? So frustrating. You can have purpose and leave a legacy, help the world, and make a difference without having children. ❤️

I’m a Child Free Christian guy. I wonder why it’s only women that gets judged or questioned. If a child is never born they can never die and go to hell, they can never even suffer here on earth🤷♂️

i don't why people judge other for not wanting to have children, in all each of us have the right to decide if, when and whether to have children, like they say, biology is the least that makes some a mother and I believe that oprah has many children already from her school in south Africa, she loves them as if they were hers biologically

The only people who should have kids are the people who genuinely want them. We need to stop criticizing people for knowing that parenthood is not for them

I didn't have any children but somehow that was something I never thought about. I love babies and really enjoy being around kids but I never daydreamed about being a mom. I am now a stepmother and step grandmother and am very happy about it. I helped raise my grand daughter and enjoyed every bit of it. I feel blessed and I trust that this is how things were meant to be for me.

The thing with children. I’m pressured to have children but I fear that I regret motherhood. I think Opera is a better mother than most women. She doesn’t want her children to suffer and rather be a mother figure for the ones who don’t have a mother.

I made choice at 21 (27 now) not to ever have kids. Simply because I'm poor. I can't provide for em. I would love to have kids, maybe in another lifetime. But life is too hard out there. Infact, I believe that only rich people should have kids. Poor people shouldn't have kids, especially if they can't provide.

Oprah you don't have children and it's ok bc anyone can have a baby it's the way you raise that child that counts. You have been a wonderful Mother to those girls in Africa. THEY CAME FROM YOUR HEART ❤️😘

i dont hav kids too. happiness depends on how content you are. i love being alone and i can sleep well. i make whatever is available the best.
