Murdaugh was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to 22 federal financial crimes charges. He was also ordered to pay more than $8.7 million in restitution.

  • Those funds are likely in a protected Trust account that the State or Federal government has no access to or even information on. Alex will never admit he killed Maggie and Paul and he will never disclose anything about where he put all that money. Greed was the driving force behind everything this man did, and still does, in my opinion. These hunts for that money are a huge waste of taxpayer funds.
