Loving this! We are learning a lot about Kindergartner work. I was the same with my older kids.. I pushed the kids and learned a lot. I want to share what I did wrong and what I learned to right! Thanks for sharing this and showing us what you like and what works for you! I like the ideas!
  • I love researching too! :) Can't believe you are doing 5! That's incredible! My youngest is in kindergarten this year as well :) Woohoo!
  • I love this. All my kids have a different learning style, so I am always researching and trying out different curriculum. We do not like a bunch of sit down table work they all are more hands on go play type of learniners.

Thanks for the video! It always reassures me when I hear another homeschooling mom say that Kindergarten is for fun. My middle girl is six and doesn't have a lot of interest in reading yet. As someone who learned to ready very early (about three) I'm always secretly worried. But I'm sure you know how that goes!

I really appreciate that Scope & Sequence page. I like to be organized and systematic, for my own sake. This looks like a fun option! I so appreciate being able to look inside the book, thank you! We still use Sing, Spell, Read, and Write, I have honestly really loved those for beginning readers!

I'm a total curriculum junkie too! Yay! We love the the magnetic letters! My K video will be coming out soon :)
  • Hey! Another curriculum video junkie here!! We will be starting our homeschool journey this year with my oldest in K. She’s already reading because we have done letter of the week during her preschool time but we will do Simply K, minus the ABC part, Math K and Adventures in Creation—all from Masterbooks. But LA & handwriting will be from TGTB. I have that magnetic letter set and I love it too! I got a small cookie sheet from Dollar Tree (it looks like a fancy small serving tray) and the girls like to use those with the magnetic letters too! Looking forward to your other curriculum videos!

We will be teaching similar grades. 😁 I have a 10th grader, 5th grader, 2nd grader and Pre-K (4 year old).

For the bobs jones math K5 do you have to get the full kit or do you recommend just getting the workbook?
  • I will be homeschooling for the first time. We are trying to decide between master books, sonlight, and my father's world. She is 3 but quite advanced. Any recommendations
