Here's take 1 of Elvis' 1964 studio recording of Chuck Berry's Memphis Tennessee, set to photos of Elvis out and about in Memphis from the 50s to the 70s and performing in 61, 74, 75 and 76, plus a few photos I took during my most recent visit in 2017.

Today's youth can't relate to this song. Today, it blocking them on Twitter, or unfriending them on Facebook. "I keep sending her tweets, but she's not replying!"

I was at Graceland the morning he died. I was a little girl and my dad was on a business trip to Memphis, so mom and I tagged along for the day. Mom was a huge fan and very time we went to Memphis, we had to stop at Graceland! That hot day, his cousin was working the gate and asked if we wanted to go up to the house…so of course, my mom said yes! We got into the back of his white truck and went up to the front door. He told us all kinds of things about the house and about Elvis. Two things stood out to my 8-year-old brain: the big, long car with shiny pipes out front and the fact that his cousin said Elvis sleeps until about 3 to 4 pm daily…I thought that sounded crazy for a grown person! We headed to some office building in midtown, mom and I heard the news from a secretary that he’d been taken to the hospital, then we were all glued to the radio. My mom and I sat in our car the rest of that afternoon listening to his music play on FM 100 and she cried. I now live in Memphis and everyone here has an Elvis story. I know a retired cop who was there and saw him dead on his bathroom floor. Poor Elvis needed people who weren’t yes men…rehab could have saved him. Different times.

If only Elvis would have taken ten steps back and realized what he had with Linda and what he was doing to himself she would have helped him and he more than likely would still be here today very very sad and disturbing when you really think about it what has happened to Elvis and also Lisa , they both had so much to live and much loved by so many people all over the world

What do we all have in common >>> Elvis fans and an appreciation of how this man could sing any type of songs and a great entertainer. No one has come close to this guy. I hope the New movie does him justice and opens up to a new audience of Elvis fans who then need to stat looking at his past movies and concerts to see just how good he was and what an influence he had on the entire world. He went from a skinny poor boy to a handsome mature man that most women wanted
