What Would Happen If Luffy Was Never Born?

I don't think Sanji would have been found by the Big Mom Pirates in this time line, seeing that Germa only found out about him after he became a known pirate.

Luffy is so dedicated that even if he wasn't born he'd find a way to be born.

If Luffy was one week late to his adventure, lots of things would be different. You could rewrite One Piece based on that. Alies would be different, enemies would be different, interactions, plans, the state of the world itself would a sight to behold

One thing that would go differently from what you said is Robin's story. She's either gonna get executed right after being captured by CP0 or if she ends up in Impel Down Iva would most likely save her on the request of Dragon. So at the very least in this Luffy-less universe Jimbe and Robin are still part of one team

This helped me get a better understanding on how to make a good protagonist - someone who heavily influences events and other characters in the story.

This is a great alternative story, however I have a few points: 1. Sabo's ship won't be sunk by the celestials. Luffy caused a lot of havock creating delays in Sabo and Ace's plans. That whole arc would play out differently and Sabo would leave on a different day. Meaning Sabo and Ace go on to becoming pirate captains of their own crews. 2. Sanji won't be found by Big Mom, because Judge will just offer one of his other sons for the wedding. Judge and Co didn't know the whereabouts of Sanji so they probably wouldn't want to waste too much time trying to find someone they thought could be dead by now anyway. Thus, Sanji lives out the rest of his life at the Baratie. Big Mom still slays the Vinsmokes and takes their tech though, but Sanji isn't involved at all. 3. Robin might not be caught by the WG. It was because of the Straw Hats that she ended up BY CHANCE on the same island that CP9 is busy with a mission on. She ran from the WG for 20 years, she'll be good carrying on. There's even a chance that she'd run into revolutionaries and they take her in anyway. So 40% chance she's good, 35% revolutionaries find her, 25% she gets caught by WG. Remember CP0 is dealing with trying to figure out Wano, so they're out of the question here. CP9 might be assigned to searching for Robin AFTER taking Franky to Enies Lobby though. 4. IF Robin does get caught, she won't spend the rest of her life in Impel Down. They'd either A) plan a public execution (because at this point they don't have Ace yet, and they love sending messages to the world), or B) make her dissappear (execute her in secret) after she refuses to cooperate with the WG. Either way she'll be in Impel Down for a short time not forever. THEN, Dragon WILL make a move. He told the entire Revolutionary Army to keep an eye out for her and save her at all costs. If public execution, Dragon enacts a surprise attack on Marineford (they won't be as prepared as they were with Ace because they wouldn't expect a battle like they expected against a Yonko). If secret execution, Ivankov and Co will contact Dragon from the prison and alert him that Robin is the new prisoner and from there they plan to break her out. (this can also be another theory as to why Ivankov stayed in Impel Down, to keep watch incase somehow the marines ever captured Nico Robin. Dragon believed Robin was of utmost importance to their cause). 5. Blackbeard won't use Ace to become Warlord. He was looking for anyone with 100+ million bounty. He'd just go after one of the other Supernovas. Remember chasing Luffy was the reason that caused Blackbeard's journey lead to the island that Ace found him on. His entire route from Jaya will be different. Ace will eventually find him and they'd still clash but probably only after Blackbeard is already a shichibukai. There's a chance at this point that he doesn't hand Ace over to the Marines because he already has Shichibukai status. 6. IF it still plays out that Blackbeard hands Ace over to the Marines (for whatever reason, doesn't matter), the Marineford war will happen yes, but Shanks WILL ABSOLUTELY still stop Kaido. Because Kaido's plan was to INTERCEPT Whitebeard BEFORE he reaches Marineford. Therefor Shanks would still want to make it possible for Whitebeard to reach Marineford, thus he will still intercept Kaido to stop him and therefor still arrives at Marineford late. (After clashing with Whitebeard, Shanks could tell WB's strength was fading and knew Whitebeard would not survive Marineford. Thus he also knew WB would not survive fighting Kaido in this condition, or if he does then he'll be way too weakened to even do anything at Marineford) 7. Because of point 6, Kaido will not show up at Marineford because this part of the story plays out exactly the same where Kaido backs off from Shanks and goes back to Wano. Rayleigh might not show up anyway, because of his age and because they all believe in respecting each other's journeys and battles. He can't interfere or force his help onto Whitebeard even though Ace is Roger's son. 8. Whether Ace lives or dies, Whitebeard still dies at Marineford because even he knew he wasn't going to survive. He just wanted to set Ace free. And because Blackbeard dies in Impel Down while Shiryu is still locked up, Whitebeard's Yonko spot is up for grabs because his territories will start to fall as other pirates don't respect Marco or Ace's name as much as they respect/fear Whitebeard himself. And the Whitebeard pirates after suffering many casualties (including the allies), won't be able to defend ALL territories. So Ace will have to grow some more in order to reach Yonko level to be viewed by others and Whitebeard's successor.

I think Nika Ace would actually use Toon force to see Imu's lights and either deviate the beam away or escape before it strikes. Luffy did grab a lightning bolt after all

If Luffy never existed: Koby doesn't escape Alvidas ship. Considering how weak she was, eventually she gets defeated. Kobys fate depends on who defeats them, but likely never becomes a marine. Zoro dies after the marines betray their deal. Morgan still is captain in the marines. Buggy sacks Orange Town and continues looking for Captain Johns treasure, eventually he would likely be arrested or if he stumbled into Arlongs territory, killed. Kuro kills Usopp & Kaya and retires in peace after killing off his old crew. Mihawk kills Krieg and Sanji remains on Baratie till the Vinsmokes find him and take him away. Gin might actually survive this encounter and either become a captain or stay at Baratie. Nami gets betrayed by Arlong like we saw, but this time the whole town dies when they uprise. Nami either dies, kills herself or becomes a slave for Arlong. Smoker never leaves Logue Town. Laboon is killed by Baroque works, unless Crocus steps in to fight. Dory and Broggy are captured and handed to the WG by Mr 3. Vivi is found out and kept captive by Crocodile. Crocodile takes over and the bomb destroys most the city, without Pluton he likely kills Robin. Crocodile would likely be broken, as his plans would have been for nothing - likely regretting killing Robin as he will never find Pluton without her. Hard to know what he does next. Bellamy doesn't change whatsoever, remaining a overconfident lackey for Doffy. Enel would destroy Skypeia and head out with his priests. If he goes to the blue sea eventually he causes a lot of Havok before being defeated (likely by an Admiral). CP9 eventually find Franky and capture and torture him for the blueprints, which they may find and begin to rebuild Pluton. Moria would eventually kill Lola and her friends, once Oars and his Zombies are ready he would travel into the New World and try to take out Kaido. He'd be killed for certain along with his crew. Ryuuma would likely be destroyed in Wano, so they would finally get back the sword and end the grave robber mystery. After his death at the hands of Kaido, Morias shadows would release, returning Brooks and allowing him to leave the Triangle. Nobody attacks Saint Charloss, no Admirals come to SA, The 9 Supernovas leave unimpeded. Caime likely rescued by Rayleigh using CoC, if she ended up at the auction. Blackbeard fights Ace. Without a Warlord spot open at the time, he won't be able to hand him to the Government. BB might kill Ace because of this. There is no prison break in Impel Down. Blackbeard can't gain access to the gates of Justice without Warlord status, and has no reason to go there. There is no Whitebeard War, as there is no Ace to execute. Whitebeard likely remains in the dark about BB and Aces fate. Whitebeard remains a Yonko until a stronger Blackbeard kills him a few years down the line or he dies of age/illness. Sengoku doesn't resign, Akainu doesn't become FA until later on. Fujitora isn't an admiral. Jinbei likely would have killed Hody, if not Pekoms & Tomago would have killed him sooner rather than later. FI may have been destroyed if Vander Decken still raises Noah. If Whitebeard is still alive at this stage then maybe some of his men kill Hody & Co instead. Law can't become a Warlord, and likely gets killed by Vergo or Doflamingo. Caesar remains making smiles, and giant kids for Big Mom. Maybe the Vinsmokes never get an alliance offer if the science labs of Punk Hazard are still intact. Dressrosa stays under Doffy. The Warlords never disband. Sabo never clashes with Jesus Burgess, never gets the Mera. Dragons HQ isn't discovered, likely there is no raid at the reverie. IM doesn't move forward on any plans without Alabasta involved, or Poseidon being discovered or BB / Luffy rise. Kaido and Big Mom do not ally. The Scabbards eventually get killed on the promised day, Kinemon & Momo never escape Punk Hazard. The Supernovas likely remain bitches for the Yonko, with Urouge & Kidd eventually being killed if they continued to fight them.

Luffy is the personification of someone who liberates civilizations and people,like everywhere he goes he saves them. He is that Light in the darkness,hence why I can only think of very bad stuff happening if he was never born. When the beacon of hope doesn't even exist the world becomes dark and infinitely times more cruel. He has such a massive impact on the entire world of one piece.

Luffy has saved so many lives without even knowing.

I also think Zeff is still a great fighter, probably knows how to use haki, and would have kicked Don Krieg's face in, but he chose to stand back and let Luffy fight because he saw something in Luffy, and he told Sanji to watch Luffy closely during that fight because he wanted Sanji to learn a lesson.

I don't know if ace would awaken like that, he was pretty depressed when he would be executed, if he died there he would not be on "synchrony" with the nika nika. When he died he smiled without regrets though, but that was only because Luffy saved him first, something would have to make him snap out of that sadness first for him to awaken.

What I love about this is that even without Luffy, the world still spins. It's just that most of his friends die. It's very in line with his character of caring more about being a hero for his friends than for the world.

I think Luffy is the one piece. In treasure maps, you have X marks the spot for the prize mark. Luffy got the X mark in his chest. That's is what Roger has been waiting for... The One Piece of a Person who will save their world.

Big Mom finally getting the respect she deserves.

My biggest correction has to be Nami, and it is darker. The villagers, upon learning that Nami was betrayed, would have done the same thing and challenged Arlong. Nami continuing to chart and steal isn't consistent - she knows they all die. Nojiko and Genzo and everyone dies. She begins to stab her tattoo, as we know. But Luffy won't grab her hand after some moments. No one does. And even if she were to choose to stop stabbing her arm in that day, I can see the result being the same another day, once it sinks in. And once she starts stabbing, she doesn't stop until she's dead.
