I will never understand why black people insist on claiming and even celebrating Cleopatra but ignore undeniably black queens in our history. Thanks for this info.

I got a Quora post recommendation not too long ago, and the topic was on why the Romans didn't expand to sub-saharan Africa after conquering Egypt. To my surprise none of the top posts or expert historians listed the result of the Nubian and Roman war as one of the factors. This really puts into perspective how easy it is for ancient African achievements to be neglected, and I'm glad that this channel exists to change that.

Great stuff as usual, Cleo lost but got all the flowers Queen Amenirenas won, hardly got any love, it's up to us to uphold her name and her incredible story, if only Netflix had gone in a different direction..š®āšØ

This story is so fascinating. Thank you. She should be way more popular than she is. She sounds like a good queen.
-
Yep hopefully one day somebody will make a movie about her.
-
I yearn for the day when the popularity of Cleopatra and Amanirenas are reversed.
-
Wished people would glorify her instead of Cleopatra
-
It's crazy cause I just watched your two old videos -- one animated -- about the mighty Queen Amanirenas. I appreciate that you delved deeper into the politics this time around. It's a crying shame that more people of African descent don't know anything about her.
-
Cleopatra wishes she could troll the Romans the way this queen did. That Augustus head event always makes me laugh.
-
Love your channelā£ļø Can you add a few maps to highlight the locations youāre discussing ? I pray that youāre developing a text book covering all the Africans and countries you discussšš½

Amanirenas' story needs a big screen treatment for real. If no one else writes it by the time I get rich, then I'll do it myself.
-
Thank you for this

Great video. Queen Candace the Empress of Ethiopia. Alexander after conquering Egypt didnāt entertain the idea of going to war with her. Queen Candace rode in Elephant into Battle.
-
Incredibly credible history.
-
Greetings/from Ghana.. Sooooo good to get this video. Its been far too long!ā¤

Amanirenas didnāt have to give up no royal a$$ for the sake of her kingdom and country. She fought back against the mightiest nation on earth at that time, and prevailed.

Love this channel
