Even if his child support is set on his rookie contract it can be modified if his income increases at ANY point.
  • There is probably a game of chicken happening between everyone involved with the Vikings/Jefferson and Bengals/Chase signings. No one wants to sign first and set up the other to get more and the teams are helpless. They'll have to offer a "real $30M" plus. If your QB is really "that guy," he doesn't need a $30M WR.
  • Not signing Jefferson makes me wonder if a trade is seriously being considered.
  • @BTipp24
I have a good feeling this will be Jefferson's last season in Minnesota.
  • Maybe it’s Jefferson seeing how the quarterback situation is going to be like
  • @jtmmmm27
It makes sense to move on from him while his value is high, the Cheifs have shown its better to have 3 X 10 million WRs as opposed to one 30 million guy.
  • @NathanDean79
Maybe Jefferson won’t negotiate with them UNTIL Cee Dee Lamb goes first. Did you ever consider that??
  • @NathanDean79
I think since Cousins is gone Jefferson wants to leave the Vikings.

Well if JJ walks, I will be THAT VIKINGS fan who WANTED HARBAUGH!
  • @TristanandIsolt
This is a stupid headline. Who's to say the Vikings are waiting? Maybe it's Jefferson who's waiting. If he's getting a larger contract the longer he waits then wouldn't he be the one who is waiting?
  • @CompoundingTime
Receivers are the most overpaid position in the NFL. Dude is great but in no way is he worth 36-38 mill a year. Last time Jaire Alexander played man coverage against him in a game he caught 1 ball.
  • @kevincannon9564
Jefferson is great but what team has built around a WR and won a Superbowl? Doesn't happen 35+ million for a WR doesn't make sense. Trade him for top 5 pick and get a QB
  • @to.sh1.o
Divas in Minnesota tends to go elsewhere anywhere so send JJ and 11th pick to commander or Patriots for 2nd or 3rd pick. Now that's fair.
  • @JustLewey
Is JJ looking for Kirk-like guarantees?
  • @GP-ur6if
KC should swoop in and just go for it with Rice likely out for the season or most of it. Har! 💪
