Welcome to the first of many videos exploring the captivating world of James Cameron’s Avatar! To begin our journey, I thought there was no better place to begin than the history of the incredible Avatar Program which of course culminated in technology that allowed humans like Jake Sully to inhabit the body of a Na’vi. From the accomplishments of the Dark Dreamer project to why the RDA initially hoped they could build avatars to the breakthroughs of Dr. Jackie Ogden.

Avatar is an interesting movie. I’m very intrigued for the sequels. Jake is my favorite character in the film. He’s persevered through difficult situations and he becomes a different person when he wants to be a part of the Na’vi.

The second movie is going to be so legendary and I can forsee it. Imagine if the technology they used in 2009 looked so amazing , I can only imagine how great it would look now. I love Avatar so much

I still wish we could have had a couple more scenes with the other humans who were part of the Avatar Project besides Jake, Grace, and Norm.
  • I have to agree. I really look forward to the "Avatar" sequels. I have no doubt that they will be very exciting. I really enjoy your videos big time, Isaac Carlson. I can't wait to see what you will do next.

I can see a lot of issues with the ikran and multiple people able to connect with the same Avatar. Specifically on the ikran's psychy. When a bond is formed it's not just physical, it's a mental bond as well. I can see a lot of problems when a driver decides to fly on an ikran another driver bonded with and the ikran subsequently attacking it's rider due to the foreign mind it feels within.
  • So glad to see more people been intrested in this amazing movie. I'm really bored of people saying that it is just "Pocahontas but blue", the lore is so different is not fair for the two stories to be conpaired. Exited for future videos!
  • I really feel like this movie gets too much hate. Who else is excited for the new Avatar game?
  • I'm a simple man. I see Avatar, I click 😉 Cameron Is a genius. It was most immersive movie experience I've ever had. The 3D was just beyond words honestly

It was pretty obvious without following the lore beyond the movie that the AVATARS were very different and definitely hybrid compared to a pure Na'vi They have hands and feet with 5 digits, and lack the oposable big toe that Na'vi have (but, you have to really look for that in the Movie) the facial structure is obviously different, with a less "cat like" nose, and slightly smaller human shaped eyes, with eyebrows - which Na'vi lack. The head cue starts closer to the nape of the neck on an AVATAR, and AVATARS appear to have more hair on the head than a Na'vi (although this could be due to Na'vi fashion vs a natural lack of full hair coverage) The torso musculature in an AVATAR is more robust, and less willowy than a Na'vi. I've always been curious if these differences are unintended side effects of developing a AVATAR with a brain that a human can link with - or were they engineered to ensure that it was possible to tell at a glance the difference between an AVATAR and a Na'vi for security and driver dextarity reasons?
  • Not used to seeing you without glasses but I’ll get used to it with some time. Very hype for the Avatar sequels that’s for sure.
  • Isaac, have you seen the news? They cast Young Mufasa and Scar for the remake's prequel and for the first time in 25 years we got a confirmation on Scar's birth name.

You know for long time here in Italy we all tough avatar was a freeboting of "aida degli alberi" it was a movie all children of 2000 watched. Just look the place and the animals they really look almost the same. On particularly the face of the blu nation.

  • @IsaacCarlson do another zombies 3 theory if Addison is adopted or artificially inseminated or if her parents knew about her potential alien heritage
