The number one home recording project in human history.
  • Unless you were alive (and a teen) at the time, you have no idea what an impact the sound of Boston brought to life.

This song takes me back to the late 70's when I was a teen in high school. Good times.

My 18 year old daughter informed me today that this is her new favorite song I almost cried from joy lol
  • This band should be in the rock and roll hall of fame! Probably better than 95 % of the ones in there.

My husband and I were driving in a terrible rain storm around 7pm on March 9th, 2007. The Loop in Chicago were playing several Boston songs in a row. As much as I loved it I knew something was wrong. It was announced Brad Delp died. We were on our way to Ohio to pick up a puppy, I never forgot it. The highest and lowest point of my life. My puppy turned out to be the best dog I will ever have.

R.I.P. Brad Delp. Greatest voice in rock & roll history

This blew everyone in the entire recording Industry away back in the day, Musicians included. It's True.

The youth today could never understand the memories us Gen X’ers have because of this band. Not a clue.

Brad Delp is sooooo missed, and what an amazing job Tom Scholz did to back up his amazing voice, he more or less said he knew he had his work cut out for him when he first heard Brad audition feeling that angels had delivered this singer to him.

Boston is an anthem. The entire collection of work. No one sounds or sounded like them, they were truly groundbreaking, inventors in the musical space.

Just can't describe that feeling back in the 1980s as we were driving down the road with our windows down, listening to FM radio and that ICONIC riff comes on for the first 7 seconds. Take advantage of today's technology and go back to the start of this song, and listen (REALLY LISTEN) to those first 7 seconds, and imagine a time when NO-ONE had that fuzzy "perfect" Boston tone. Back then, you couldn't just click and play those 7 seconds over and over again. We had a CASSETTE TAPE, and you could "sort of" rewind it a bit, to play that NASTY riff again and again. THE GOOD OLD DAYS.
  • @Coolnesski
One in the list of many songs of positivity of the 1970's
  • @user-sg6ot3sc7e
I agree, put them in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame TODAY ! Not all that many albums, but the ones they made were awesome 👏🏻
  • @muffs55mercury61
As a single it only reached #46 in April, 1979 but it's album "Don't Look Back" went platinum and probably many times over. This song is a masterpiece and a beautiful melody to go with it. Brad Delp we your fans miss you !!

Such a fantastic riff, it’s a little bit heavy, a little bit melodic, a little bit melancholy, a little bit joyous….just perfect.
