Our pastor memorised the whole Book of The Gospel according to John recently and we got to listen to him this past Sunday. It took him between two and a half to three hours and we just sat in awe as we walked through all 21 chapters with him. I was in tears when he had finished. We serve a wonderful living God, halleluja!

This is an exciting challenge. To know the word of God for yourself and to memorize that your spirit is filled with his love. AWESOME. I like how you said that it's not for show but to grow closer to God with his word. Bless you for sharing.
  • Hi, I memorize Scripture with pictures and objects. I memorized Psalm 62: 1-2 , My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him .He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken. I go to the thrift store clean the objects junk stores are not know for being the clean though some are cleaner than others. I bought a doll bed, put a insole placed a rock and had a toy castle, and a sealed salt shaker . The bed represents rest, the insole (sole) grabbed a rock from outside, placed the castle (fortress) and the sealed salt shaker could not be shaken.I shared this my church youth group and my of the young people got it.

Great tips - thank you for sharing! I was inspired by Jason Nightingale to start memorizing scripture several years ago. Since then God has allowed me to memorize John 3, Colossians 3, 1Timothy 6, and the whole book of James. I also just completed Romans 6, 7, and 8. I totally agree that ANYONE can do this if you set your mind to it. Repetition and consistency is key. God’s word is powerful and He is so good!!

I memorized Philippians in 2019 and Titus in 2022. Next I want to memorize Colossians. I recently watched a dvd where Logan Carr recited the entire book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ 🤯

Thank you for this! I love to memorize chapters because they often give me a more full understanding of God's message. I would love to know some of the chapters you have found to be particularly useful to memorize.
