  • Hello there. Love that you resumed preparing DIYs. Those napkins are so delicate and can be used to decorate in many seasons. Last Christmas I tried a new to me technique. I used mod podge (MP) on a small canvas to cover the canvas with my most priced delicate antique design napkins. What I did different was to apply MP to the canvas and let it slightly dry until it was just tacky before applying my very thin layer of napkin. It was a game changer. Minimal to no crinkling. In some areas I was able to lift and reposition before pressing down. I place my hand in a sandwich bag before pressing and that also gives me a lot better control. [My experience with plastic seran wrap was that it gets too wet and the crinkles in the plastic would lift the napkin.] I let it fully dry then I did my top layer of MP. I was in disbelieve how perfect it turned out. Honestly, it looked painted on. Hope to see you try it sometime. I know it requires a little more time but the result was worth it for me.

The first ornaments, the white ones you made with my favorite, but everything was great and it’s good to see crafting again
  • Because you chose such a classic design and color of the napkins, how could just one of these diys be my favorite. They all are!! ❤
  • Oh my goodness you just proved that the possibilities are endless when it comes to crafting with what you have on hand! These ornaments are really cute!!!
  • Yes, I do think you were crazy to Mod Podge the tiny blue flowers on the white beads. Having said that, they look beautiful and I can’t imagine that beaded garland without the sweet blue flowers. I’m so glad you were able to find some time amidst everything else to do some craft work. Thank you for sharing.
