Review: Fujimi Velociraptor model kit

In the absence of a proper Hammond Collection JP1 Velociraptor figure, instead of going with pricy third party custom parts on the official Mattel offering I opted to build and review one of these since it works as a rather great stand-in due to being nearly similar to the classic movie dinosaur’s design save maybe for the slightly off-proportioned head. Plus, it has ball-jointed sickle claws. ;)
In case you're interested to get one of these, I ordered mine from Hobby Link Japan: www.hlj.com. Just type in Fujimi Velociraptor to the website's search engine. Creating a customer account will be required for making any orders. Mind you that availability can vary and, depending on stock, you might have to resort to one of the several offered variants of the same kit. Happy hunting.

The head is a bit big, but honestly it looks pretty good. The fact a Japanese company can make it better than the official American company is sad.
