We’re never going to get things totally right the first time. So, imagine the pressure on the casting director when they made Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

They needed to invest in actors that would grow with the roles. It was the ultimate blind casting. Luck for them, it worked out pretty much as best as it could have. The Binger wanted to take the time to spotlight our favorite house and those students. Yes, we’re talking about Gryffindor and not Ravenclaw; shocker, we know. This list is all about Harry and his classmates known for all sorts of triumphs and misadventures. Trust us, there are shocking differences we can’t wait for you to hear all about. Of course, you’re going to need to watch the video to see them.

We’re talking Neville’s big glow up, Lavender Brown’s controversy, and the Patil Twin mix-up. It’s all here on the latest from The Binger!

They did ginny dirty in the movies in the books she was always such a badass

In the third film, Dan’s hair was the closest to how Harry’s hair is described throughout the whole series.

Harry's eyes would be a small detail, if every single person he meets didn't say "You have your mother's eyes"

They messed up so much with Ginny. She’s supposed to be a lively, energetic, courageous girl, but they just made her awkward.
  • I couldn’t imagine anyone else playing the Weasley‘s though

Book Ginny: energetic and fierce Movie Ginny: wet tissue

They did Ginny dirty. I watched the movies first In Globet of Fire, I thought Neville asked her to the ball because he pittied her. In the books, she's so cool for even going, and Neville scored an amazing date

When i was little, i thought the Weasly’s were an actual family..

The actress on the right, is not Lavender Brown in a background role, its Angelina.

I’m surprised not many people have mentioned the Marauders, Lily and Snape. They’d all have been around 32 from PS/SS yet in the films the actors were all in their 40s or 50s

my favourite potter trivia is that the twins actually auditioned to skip school. like they auditioned so they didn't have to go to school. that is so close to the weasley twins that they picked the perfect twins.
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: The year that nobody got a haircut. Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix: The year that everyone got a haircut...

Fun fact: The reason why they stick to Daniel Radcliffe's blue eyes is because he's allergic to a chemical in contact lenses so, there ya go, blue-eyed Harry

One of the two people you’ve identified as lavender here was actually Angelina johnson...

I don’t care what people say, the movie Neville is the real Neville.
  • @dontmindme633
One photo of “lavender brown” was actually Angelina Johnson who was perfectly cast
