We’re never going to get things totally right the first time. So, imagine the pressure on the casting director when they made Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
They needed to invest in actors that would grow with the roles. It was the ultimate blind casting. Luck for them, it worked out pretty much as best as it could have.
