One of the nicest fractions of I-10, especially coming from the endless Florida woods. That and the huge Louisiana bridges.

Oh man how I miss Mobile. I go to Samford now in B'ham and it's just not the same. After I work in B'ham for a while I'm going to move back, I miss everything about my hometown!

Yeah I live in Mobile too. The bridge and the tunnel is fun to go through.

Just looking for info on Gustav and ran into this. I was born and raised in Mobile! The very first day the GW tunnel opened, I drove my Honda 550(four) super sport through it at 100mph - what a dummy! I also remember the time the banana truck overturned dumping chiquitas all over the interstate. We called the bayway, "the slab." I live in Virginia now and have not been to home in nearly ten years! This video and comments brought back many good memories! Thanks All!

Went through this bad boy Wednesday night to Florida, and back through again Sunday on the way home. I've heard about this tunnel, but this was my first 2 times through it. Whatever you're listening to on the radio officially goes dead once you're in the tunnel.

Most of my newer videos have actual photo images of the signs. This video is 6 years old, my productions have evolved and improved over time.
  • I’m binging some of the old Alabama videos during the weekend

I loved the speeding up of the video. Made for a cool show with that music!
  • @murfreebear
I think it sucks how you have to pass slow people on the right they should of been in the right lane already. Thanks for the video.

I live in Daphne too. I do this drive every stinking morning ha! In fact I was in a wreck half way across the bridge during morning rush hour maybe a month ago.
  • @specialkvi
I noticed that the passing of the light poles on the center medium were in tempo with the music. :-)

The song is "headed for the Ditch" by the Andy Timmons Band

the roads downtown are a nighmare. horribly unorganized, trees blocking the traffic lights from view, heavy traffic. Though, I've been lost countless times all over the South. It ain't nothing to panic about. Just pull over and get directions or a map/phone.
  • Rhode Islanders do the same thing, When you leave Rhode Island to drive into Connecticut, there is a sign that says Use your turn signals, you're in Connecticut now, or something similar.
  • @unklejman
Quick question to the OP. How is the camera mounted? The video is quite smooth. That may be due to being sped up.
  • @Freewayjim
It's on a tripod based on the front seat floorboard, very steady.
