  • If you put a thousand marines in that situation, they’d do all the same thing for me. Goosebumps. Much respect!

“There is no greater love than this: that a person would lay down his life for the sake of his friends.” And in this case, he willing did and got to live as well. I have so much respect for those who protect and serve. Selfless.

This man is the living pinnacle of brotherhood in arms. This is easily the most selfless thing I will ever witness, this man deserves a statue at Marine basic training. A true leading example.

Now that is the kind of person you give that medal to. Not talk show hosts, not comedians. They're military medals that you have to earn. They're earned by going above and beyond in the line of duty. He took a grenade which earns him mad respect and he definitely deserved the Medal of Honor. Way to go, bro.

Marine: Throws his body onto a grenade to protect his friend Death: Out of pure respect. I'm gonna pretend I didn't see that.

It’s a rare thing to see someone who made a conscious decision to sacrifice their own life to save someone else’s. God bless him.
  • I don't care how old this video is this soldier will always be a hero many times over, it doesn't matter what he went through in the process of saving lives he will always be remembered as a hero for as long as he lives, I'm not a soldier, but thank you sir for everything you have done
