The guy I am friends with but moving towards something more definitely thinks about me. He always asks how I am, if something is on my mind, if I want to talk, he asks me for input consistency. He supports me through everything, I can talk to him about literally everything without judgment. He's a good man. And he is consistent, patient, and kind.

As a woman I can understand the importance of valuing your man and putting effort into recognizing that he needs to be uplifted with compliments and recognition but I can’t agree to tell, especially women, to focus on fulfilling their partners need without providing context because in general women will be the over affectionate and adoring that gives too much and gets taken advantage of. Its best to advise women that men have needs similar to us that include validation, self esteem, support in other areas of our life and someone who listens without unsolicited advice or judgement. I can honestly say that what you said about asking a guy what they need works….I have never in my life asked a man what they needed or specifically what they needed me to do for them due to past situation-ship hurt. But the one time I put myself out there for this particular man and he just appreciates my desire and willingness to help. All the great feels 🥰🥰

We are older people. When we were about 6 months into spending time together, I didn’t hear from him one day, two days, three days and I thought he wandered away. Then he texted me. “Come over, I have something for you.” He was helping friends move and got me a Grandfather clock in exchange for his help. I was so touched. He concentrated his time and energy on getting that clock for me rather than texting me. If I would have freaked out who knows what would have happened. We are still together 7 months later. He’s quiet, reserved, deeply kind and caring. He often checks up on me.
