Veteran environmental scientist Dr. Sumith Pilapitya reveals that the female twin is believed to be dead.
Twin elephant births are very rare. Only one percent of elephants give birth to twins. These two baby elephants were spotted in Minneriya National Park in 2020, spending time playfully. These baby elephant twin births are rare occurrences.
These elephant twins are named Bhagya and Bhathiya. The footage was captured in 2020.
