Ah, the stress of finding a place! As I watched these last couple of your Bangkok vlogs I initially found myself only remembering the adventure of going off to uni . . . until you mentioned your stress. Man, I was sweating bullets (Canada can have humidity levels that rival Thailand during our summers) as I drove and walked all over the city trying to find lodging. Gawd, everything that I liked was taken. I finally caved and took a place that I knew was iffy. Sure enough, the fella I rented from was a drug dealer. Although, to be fair, they were nice drug dealers, and I never had any problems with violence or any of the other vice we typically associate with the lifestyle. Such a great series, ladies! Can't wait for the next one!

I remember when I went off to college. My parents took me to the dorm and inspected my room and roommate. Every semester after the first I went off to college with friends or by myself.

Dang, Fern! You make me think about living in Bangkok for retirement. I'm still leaning towards Hua Han. I live in Chicago now and figured I'd live somewhere laid-back. I'm visiting Panama City, Panama, for ten days in August, the"Miami of Central America." But Bangkok is smokin'!
