it's kinda poetic- turning old art into new modern art in a modern medium ✨
  • @Bordie3D
Imagine a game where every asset was designed this way. Actually, the game that comes to mind that this would thrive the most in is The Unfinished Swan.
  • @lemuju
Lunch is one of my favorite Dragon Ball characters. You never knew when she would sneeze and mess everything up.

Considering how this style is, as you put it, cheated at certain angles its a wonder that the turnaround looks as clean and sells the illusion as well as it does. If animated it feels like any seams or awkward shapes with the perspective could be smoothed with some clever shapekeys or the like. Great work!

Launch really is the probably one of the most forgotten DB chars. Warning: There's a crapton of copium in the thread.

Useful terminology when describing sculpting areas that are often uncomfortable to talk about: 1. Bust 2. Pelvis

dude that looks fantastic. would love to see a black and white 3d cartoon in this style

@8:52 Oh my god, I DIDNT KNOW YOU CAN DO THAT WITH PROPORTINAL EDITING, I've been hiding verts when I do shape keys for the mouth. That "Connected Only" checkbox changed my life

best blender channel for me, i'll be supporting u always!

Bro i love this guy. I watch and find myself watching the whole video and learning A ton of stuff. I think so far it’s hard to find a blender YouTuber who uploads often, who makes cartoonish characters and look really good/identical and also makes it a fun and education like huhhhhhh am i dreaming??? Also the work flow makes things feel so much easier

The sudden Splatoon 2 off the hook intro gave me whiplash I didnt not expect it 😭
  • @jtim4542
I love how it’s Launch from OG dragonball.
  • @RPEliott
I can't thank you enough for including the part where you make your own t-pose! I really couldn't wrap my head around it, but now it will open up so many more possibilities!

I did a work with grease pencil last week. So YouTube started to show me a bunch of 3D work with grease pencil, and suddenly I was here seeing your work. And I have to say. This is one of the most beautiful works I ever saw in my life. Amazing job <3

Toryama may have forgotten about her but he may have translated the idea of turning blond and stronger as a super sayin from her, I think.
  • @Solanaar
I've never done 3d art, but I watch a lot of stuff about it and this seems like straight up magic to me. 3D Anime, espec in games, has come quite a way but this. This FEELS like anime.
  • @aogasd
Saving this for when I eventually bite the bullet and dive into 3d modelling now that I'm trying to get into the indie game dev scene. This feels like a really fun style that would be in some ways easier to do a small project with
  • @MobiusGT
love that its still in black and white, just adds that much more charm
  • @aquare9ia
you are the most articulate 3D modeler I have ever watched
