  • lyrics : she cut a hole in the fence and she ran she left her troublesome prison behind she didn't wanna fuel the fire she didn't wanna lose her desire she looked out to the horizon she didn't have much left to see greed had taken the trees away greed had taken the bees away she don't know where she's gonna go now she looked up to where there should have been stars she said I wanna go to mars and this, this planet ain't ours (the song is one live recording, but the video is from 2 different shows : one in a crematorium in Berlin & one in a church in Berlin)

"This planet ain't ours." Too true, Alice Phoebe Lou! Thank you.
  • As a man getting older still with an open mind for new music, I am excited at this young talent, a musician who is not afraid to be different in these times of musical mediocrity.
  • @donwyates
I don't know how many times I've watched this, but I never get tired of it.
  • This is the kind of music that can tear a hole in your soul or fill a hole in. It just hits every time.
  • My 78 year old father sent this to me because we both are musicians and love great music. Thanks Phoebe, thanks Dad.
  • I'm obsessed with this artist. Have been since I first heard her. Just awesome, and she still busks at random places!
  • @portnuefflyer
I'm a 71 year old crane operator, who at the end of the day, while filling out my billing statements, first puts SHE on, love it and her!

This is just one of those songs you need to put on as loud as you can and dance your heart out

I’m a ninety year old professional dog walker and part-time mystery shopper from west Tokyo and love listening to this
  • @romynaa
I found this video when they put my dog to her final sleep. Wasn't able to be in the same room, it hurt too much. Instead, I started trying to concentrate on something different, scrolled on YouTube and eventually saw these small videos of Alice. Ever since, she's been my comfort singer, she helped me through so much, she will never know. Thank you
  • @ellynwoods
Her energy onstage is absolutely intriguing to watch.

just found this after a Youtube bimble. Fantastic. There is so much excellent music out there that just doesnt get played on the radio. And this is one example of that.
  • @thomaslee7064
We love her and her music she expresses what we feel but can't express. I'm 75 years old
  • Alice, I'm an old man compared to you, so old I had been in Viet Nam only 2 month when Woodstock  happened, but I've always enjoyed great music. You are a refreshing new talent with the amazing voice of an angel, your songs are so original, the strength of your voice and the amazing range is so hard to imagine coming from such a small body. A Star is BORN in you.
  • @chrissas3872
I would love to see Alice perform alongside, or even duo with Aurora. those two together would blow my mind OMG.
  • She's like the same thing that attracted me to the Talking Heads in 77. In other words; original and talented.
  • Interesting and beautiful. I love it when these youngsters show off their talent. This song actually brought a tear to my old ass eyes. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for
