Jordan should get an EV6 instead of a model 3. Plenty of Tesla content out there.

I'm currently driving a Kia Sorento and am very satisfied. Will consider an EV 6 when I get a new car.

The biggest difference that should be coming for the US spec car is the NACS charging port (aka SAE J3400) and the US spec car probably won't have the rear amber turn signals like the Korea/Euro spec version. For those who doubt the NACS charging port is coming in the US, please note that back in October, Min Woo Park, Kia's head of global product planning said the EV6 would be the first Kia EV getting it by Q4 2024 which means it will be in the 2025 model.

Love our EV9 and Ioniq 5N charging speed. We have a 350kw charger near our home. Great to power up quickly before our road trips.
  • Having long dark winter nights in Canada it would be great if they improve the poor 2023 EV6 gt-line headlights. Our daughter’s 2019 Kia Niro EV limited trim has far superior lighting. I would definitely trade up for Wireless AppleCarplay, 84 kwh battery, digital rear mirror, extra rear side airbags and improved headlights.

I think it's one of the better-looking EV's out there. New model or old
  • My 2022 EV6 is my first EV. I am very happy with my purchase. I don't like the door handles and the combined radio/AC touch controls. You did miss a major upgrade in the new EV6: true OTA updates. Current models only allow OTA updates for maps. I have to go to the dealership again for another software upgrade for ICCU, which is a safety recall by NTSB. I felt misled by Kia with my 2022 when they said that it would role out OTAs but then never did beyond maps
  • Should charge similarly to the Ioniq 5 N, I'm pretty sure it's the same battery.
  • @mrpogi23
it will also get the fingerprint profile thing, OTA updates on everything just like the EV9.

Thanks Francie and Jordan, keep an eye on the NA version when it becomes available. I personally like the minimalism of the Tesla which is my car today. My wife is put off by the lack of levers and buttons because she feels that layout is easier to learn and commit to "muscle memory". The Hyundai/Kia lines are at the top of her list although the ioniq line seems a little behind the curve next to the Kia. The design is a good mix of future look in a fairly subtle way and I think the fact that it looks pretty much like any car on the road today is a plus for her.

Jordan roundtripped one of the first EV6s on this channel. Chicago to Denver. I believe..

Great podcast, Jordan you should get Polestar 2😊❤
  • @Mathingon
Love the look of the refresh, especially the front end and steering wheel.

I love my EV6. It’s still one of the if not the best EVs on the market in my price range. This will not make me upgrade, I keep my cars longer and the changes do not make a difference for me. I would like a better route planning system, it always wants me to go to a charger with over 20% remaining battery. The infotainment system is in general very complex to use with many submenus and different layout depending on where you are. It should be more intuitive like an iPhone. I wonder if it’s going to be like the EV9 which is an upgrade over the EV6.

I like the new front but my 2022 still looks current in my mind. I need to see it in person before I can decide. The rear LED signatures look less unique so I prefer mine however the interior upgrades and WIRELESS carplay....jealous.
  • @TnTteam09
I just bought a 24 Gt line. I hope the Ota updates come to My car
  • @Mguy393
US got screwed with reflector LED headlights. Looking forward to what appears to be projectors on all. This is KDM, but yet to see any photos with reflector units.
  • Looks like the front end is more aero, but the dampening, structural changes and bigger battery added weight thus reducing overall efficiency.... but importantly... it didn't lose range. I like the design changes, it looks even better than it did!
