The BIG problem is todays Churches that won't call out Sin when the Bible clearly identifies it, like allowing gays to teach in your church AND not dis-fellowshipping them for not repenting of their gayness. See ROMANS, chapter One, verses 26-28. Christians hide behind "loving" them, but they end up casting-pearls-before-swine, which is yet another Sin. Churches have become ssoooo watered-down today, that now, any 1940's Fundamentalist would be slammed as a legalistic-extremist. (So much for being "the Salt of the Earth"). How many members even bring a Bible with them, to a Sunday morning service? or Read it during the week? How many bother to also go to an evening service? Find a Church where the building is ALREADY completely paid for! Preferably with a congregation of 400 or LESS. Because then, maybe, there might be a Ghost-of-a-chance that then the Preacher can and will speak out about Sin, instead of worrying that sinners (or members) wont put money in the collection-plate if they are rebuked. Paul told Timothy to "reprove, rebuke and exhort". Two-thirds of that is "negative". But it is Biblical.

This is so good! I had the same take on the Handmaids tale, I read it when it first cam out too! Thanks for steering minds!!
  • My wife and I adopted a girl from China 19 years ago due to the one child policy (and infertility ). China ended up with a problem of villages of all men. I can see that happening here. Already, there are over 6 million people gone due to abortion not to mention frozen embryos that may be left frozen.

Awe it ended so soon! I loved this discussion!! Please do it again soon!!
  • I enjoy the shows, the guests and discussions you have, Alisa. And your dedication to speaking in clarity about a Biblical faith. I love your historical christian focus. Very encouraging! Would you be open to having an abolishionist on the show? What the difference is between abolition of abortion and pro-life views? I would love to hear an abololitionist as well. It seems we have known pro-life views more in recent decades at least for me : ) not so much on abolition. I heard of abolition and thought it the same as pro-life but it seems they are different. I would love to hear a discussion to flush this out more. Thank you, Alisa.

"The Word of the Lord is upright and all His work is done in Faithfulness(5) He loves Righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the Lovingkindness of the Lord(8) Let all the earth fear the Lord..." Psalm 33:4,5,8a
  • The call to speak truth and reality is real. Hard when many are blind to it, but that's what Jesus did. The way is narrow that leads to life. Matthew 7:13, 14

I had to hear this on my podcast twice, there are so many nuggets of truth and worthwhile cultural commentaries ! Wonderful
  • To say that adults at a university are too young to speak about politics is a more serious indictment of inept parenting than of universities that talk too much about politics. If your son or daughter is not "old enough" to speak intelligently by the time they go off to college, you've done something seriously wrong.
