  • This doesn't just end with my tips, what advice would YOU give to a beginner? Share them here!
  • 1st. Pray . " Lean not to your own understanding but acknowledge me in all your ways and I shall direct your path"
  • @dru813
Faith I just want to say thank you for all you do. Five years ago my 17 year old son died by suicide. I’ve never been so lost. We’re a family of believers I just didn’t know how to carry on. Recently I stumbled onto you on YouTube. And you have encouraged me read and now study God’s word. My first commentaries came in today!!!😊(The Bible Knowledge) I’m excited to dig in. I thank God for leading me to you. God bless you ❤

I already told you about my language struggles since my stroke. I have started asking for clarity and understanding before I pick up my Bible. The memory and comprehension is improving daily! My recovery is now Word driven and accelerated and you are like a traffic sign or signal for pointing me in the right direction.
  • The first 10 seconds into this video made me feel so connected and happy to learn from this lady. Her excitement and presence is amazing. Thank you Lord!😊💕💥
  • Thank you ❤these are wonderful ideas from your walk with Him…Personally, I can’t thank you enough-for it, but I’m praising Him for what you kindly taught here and shared on your channel. It was an answer to prayer and very appreciated!!
  • some bible ideas: -look up 'who i am in Christ' then make a diy tab for each verse then study each verse (u can study just one or a bit or all of the verses) -make tabs for specific verses you know you will need (aka when satan is attacking me, when im anxious, when i need comfort, etc) basically easy to find verses for daily life -ADD THE PRETTIES. literally add stickers, washi! i recommend to use whatever you have on hand first and then ask God to help provide for this desire to decorate His Word. i recommend this so strongly cause especially if ur a newbie to the bible, seeing your bible filled with things you love makes you want to pick it up more often and for longer (at least that helped me in the beginning lol) -journal about your day in your bible and date it! -make a travel log for your bible (aka writing where you take your bible and the date) -write future notes to yourself/others -make inside jokes with you and God -doodle! -vent to God! -ask God to bring a strong desire for the bible, if you ask Him, He will do it! He wants all of us to have a relationship with Him and enjoy our time in the bible <3

The best book I have ever read about how to study the Bible is Living by the Book by Howard G. Hendricks and William D. Hendricks. I think this book helps to study the Bible in depth, but you need to be patient with it. The authors recommend starting with books like Philippians, Mark, Jonah, and Nehemiah or with a verse. I love this book, and I always refer to it when I'm studying a bible book.
  • Faith, you were with me today, as I was so nervous and intimated because I went to my first Bible Study. Was thinking about you and you taking your boys to school. Everyone was wonderful and welcoming. But I was overwhelmed and felt so inadequate! It was hard to follow, but felt it was because I am so new to Bible study. I thought, can’t wait to see Faith to ground me again. Your videos are so helpful to me. Will do my study plan for class and look forward to next week. Thank you again for being you and the encouragement you give us. Bless you.
  • @bexyclaire
I do my bible study every evening for an hour before I go to bed. This is normally around 9pm. I found reading through the psalms my favourite place to start
  • @oliviahorton5272
I am so blessed that I go to a school that has a mandatory New Testament and Old Testament year-long course we have to do. However, I just never really truly understood what I was reading, so today, I'm starting my journey on understanding the Word
  • @marilynb.2365
Those same feelings about leaving my kids at school led me to homeschooling...which led me to truly getting to know God. Now I know it was all part of Gods plan. Bible is our favorite subject in school #biblenerds 😊
  • @gracevaughn8132
You gave me permission to alter my Bible, to add my notes so I can have those important “spark” annotations for my edification. You have blessed me and my personal Bible study and LOVE for my God has grown and I’ve just started this part of my journey!! Thank you so much!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
  • Yes let it be all known to the Father cause He sees through us already!! Hallelujah! 👐🙌🙌

I've TRIED, now three times (this is the third), to walk this path... and something has always pulled me away. Where folks will grasp onto, cling to, lean into their faith when things are going poorly, I have always had a habit of 'why would all this be happening if all this is true...' - between abusive relationships, and losing people very close to me, it became very easy to get angry. I'm trying again... I have an amazing boyfriend who is so heavy in his faith, and has SO much peace about all things, because for him 'it doesn't matter, my path is already set... I'm just along for the ride' type of thing. I came across you somehow a few months ago... and I ADORE you. I could listen to you all day... it started as being SO intrigued by your physical bible, and how fun and colorful and cool it was... to genuinely listening. So I bought your 210 day Bible Study guide, and your videos that go along with... and my son and I started yesterday. We're on day two... we listened to the videos as well... I'm excited to learn and also SO confused half the time lol, but I'm getting the two dictionaries, and I think that Bible journaling is going to help me with remembering what I read, and what things mean... obviously it'll be nothing like the masterpiece that is your bible lol, but of course I wanna get all the fancy things lol. You're a phenomenal human. Thank you for all you share.

I would also recommend The Jesus Bible, The Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible, The NLT Illustrating Bible, The Complete Jewish Study Bible, The Holy Land Illustrating Bible, a good Bible Dictionary, a solid basic study Bible like the ESV, a devotional version like She Reads Truth Bible, a basic journaling version like the CSB Notetaking Bible, and the Archaeological Study Bible along with a good Bible Atlas. A good basic commentary set is the Bible Knowledge Commentary Old and New Testament set. Last would be Thompson Chain Reference Bible.

Awwwww, HOMESCHOOL them! It’s SOOOO WONDERFUL! I have graduates and preteens alike. It’s just sooooo WONDERFUL!
  • You’re no “dork” and your stress on the first day of school shows what a great mom you are
  • @ndrea1980
I kept buying all kinds of Bible study books and they just sat here. I ordered a chronological study Bible and it came yesterday and I love it. I started reading last night and did not want to stop! I grew up in church, own Bibles but have never actually read it. Here and there but not actually ‘read’ read it. So that is where i am starting now. I am going to use the chronological Bible as the guide and then make notes in my main Bible.

I always got that sick/anxious feeling bringing the kids to school and then I started hearing about some of the things happening in public school these days and I started homeschooling. Much later I realized that it was never right for my family to do public school and that's why it felt so wrong in my gut. It has been a few years of homeschooling and it's amazing. The kids are thriving much more and have even gotten ahead of their grade some subjects.
