As we learn from the Bible, the doctrine of sin (Hamartiology) and the doctrine of Salvation (Soteriology) are closely connected. The former is the study of sin, while the latter is the study of salvation through Jesus Christ. It is essential that we understand what sin is and how it affects us today. Why is sin a problem? Only when we grasp the nature of sin, can we understand and embrace the salvation that is only provided in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
