I think that the one meal a day routine can really encourage binge eating.

I’ve always been like this since I was a preteen and never knew it was an eating disorder until I started looking at other reasons why I just can’t lose weight and keep bingeing instead. I hit almost every “warning sign” too. I’m now 31 and just realizing that this is a real thing and my mental health issues (bipolar, depression, anxiety, adhd) all probably also play a role. Holy crap

Ooh it’s like I’m collecting mental illnesses/ disorders like I’m a Pokémon card collector.

i’ve struggled with this ever since covid began, its very real and very hard to overcome. whenever people say it isn’t real or “just stop eating or go on a diet”, it makes my blood boil

I've always heard of people with binge eating disorder, but I never knew I would have it too. I just found out today. It’s so unhealthy and I don’t know what to do to stop it. It’s so hard.

I have this I don’t eat for 2 days and then I binge eat and my stomach hurts it’s very painful I struggled with this for a long time

Binge eating is usually a coping mechanism, and ultimately a side effect of something bigger, like major anxiety. It’s very necessary to talk to your psychologist about this. And binge eating is impulsive so yeah, treat the anxiety/adhd/whatever you have, and you will manage the disorder.

I’m suffering from binge eating and I’m trying so hard to not binge but I can’t and my family blame me to not control my self and I understand why i feel shame

It's such a hard habit to break. When i was 14-22 i used to get so much cardio in and had such a high metabolism that I'd easily clear 3000-5000 calories a day and still be so skinny I looked like i was on drugs. Now I'm almost 30 and struggling so hard to eat 1500-2000 a day and feel satiated even though the lbs are packing on a bit too much

I pretty much do all of these except I'm a bit able to control myself now but in an unhealthy way. I basically get an urge not to eat to sorta punish myself especially when I'm working or focused on something and it's kinda like starving myself which ik I shouldn't do, but once I do eat it's me binging and I cannot stop and I eat extremely fast too, basically everything in this video and I didn't realize I had this till recently. I also emotional eat like sometimes if I'm mad or extremely hurt/sad, I'll punish myself by randomly eating and stuffing food in even though I'm not hungry, just so I could cope with the fact I'm in distress. Extremely hard to stop but what I try doing is meal prepping and setting up a strict schedule to eat with reminders (alarms, notifs, etc) but even I have trouble following it. I still binge eat but it's incredibly hard to overcome, might seek a doctor in the future for this

  • Binge eating it okay, I’m kind of like a binge eater, but I let go of the unhealthy foods to binge on, helpful advice: when you feel like you wanna eat something, maybe eat a healthier thing, like maybe tomatoes, or salad 😋
  • I feel like I eat so much food and I just lose control. I really dont mean it I just wanna stop it. And the 3rd one is literallt what I'm going through: I just wan't to stop this.
  • comfort food is the greatest. I believe that I am a binge eater. Yummy.
