On her latest release, “Forever”, the arresting visuals of the music video capture the song’s empowering message. Over an ominous bass line, the hip-hop heroine goes from spitting bars amongst the breathtaking surroundings of Georgia’s Providence Canyon, to overtaking an ornate throne as she drops lines like, “No, I’m not flawless. I’m scarred up, and I’m fine with it.” She goes on to recount how mama taught her “stay woke,” admit her own body image struggles, and name-check Do The Right Thing. It feels like it could be rap’s own answer to the “No-Makeup Movement.”

However, her message is just starting to resound on a grand scale…

A voice Okayplayer.com proclaimed “one of the most formidable microphone mavens in the game.”

  • "Never claimed to be perfect, thats an impossible dream, i just saying I'm worth it, that's the responsible thing" changed my life.
  • Her flow is ridiculous, her content is crazy good and the swag is everything too. This woman is the truth

" spent half my life trying to find my light from outside sources, While the only voice that mattered came from me" FELT THAT 🦋🦋
  • It is absolutely RIDICULOUS how far she went IN on this poor innocent beat. She puts so many rappers to shame. She deserves wild props for this track!
  • @ajdwdeux
She's the perfect mix of divine and gangster
  • @MarieGlenna
“The only voice that mattered came from me.” Hell yeah.
  • @twintiger3663
She's a true MC and lyricist. Most rappers today will do the bare minimum that they can get away with; try to stretch out a track with the hook. Sa-Roc fills up the entire track with bars... even when you think she's done, she stacks more on top! Truly a rapper that spits because she has something to say instead of just having to say something. I love music and the message. Deep and insightful. This is where hip-hop needs to be.
