I remember a few years ago for Thanksgiving, I had a friend who wasn’t going home to see family. We were both completely broke. I went to the store, got some ramen cups, some chorizo sticks, two bananas, a pack of oreos, and some dirt cheap wine. That night was still more meaningful than most of my family parties growing up ever were.
