  • Wow the insights in this episode 🤯 I genuinely had to refrain from taking notes whilst he was speaking..... like and subscribe, it helps us more than you know, appreciate you all! 🙌🏽
  • @DanneoYT
    This episode is criminally underrated
  • I’m retired, and in my retirement I’ve gained a 2:1 Honours Degree and have become an author with books published. It took simply years to turn my belief in myself from “I’m rubbish” to “I’m not rubbish” and this podcast helped me understand why and how I was able to make a belief in myself change to the positive. Thank you.
  • Got my NHS consultant job yesterday (after 18 years from starting medical school to this point) and thought I'd listen to this for some tips on how to find fulfillment at work. What I got though was a pragmatic round up as to why the NHS is floundering in terms of staff retention and has one of the highest attrition rates. I pledge to use whatever authority I will posses as a consultant to change this having been inspired by this episode of the pod 🙏
  • Touching on the comment Steven made about an employee turning down a promotion. I did exactly the same thing 15 years ago working for a large UK retailer. Had worked for them for 7 years and had been spoken highly of throughout the management. Had an email from my regional manager inviting me to an meeting about taking over the store manager role at the store I was working in as a consultant. I called the regional manager up declining the job offer as I didn't feel ready for the job and that I was comfortable with where my career was at. They held so much respect for me after that and would always ask for my opinion on new procedures and policies. Few years later I did take the promotion and ended up creating a successful team and store. Not a moment regretted!
  • My biggest takeaway is the red threads... I want my life to be full of them! I have watched this episode 3 times. There are so many lightbulb moments. Thanks so much x
  • I've just shared this podcast with my executive team - we are struggling with engagement and integrating teams - the section on the fact that every company has multiple cultures is bang on the money! I'd never looked at it like this before, as we are always trying to make a 'one size fits all' culture which everyone should align with and sign up to, when in reality it doesn't work like that. Thank you so much for your candour and for sharing!

As someone going through a phase of constant anxiety and panic attacks and trying to figure out why this is happening to me .... Marcus's story of his own struggles really hit a nerve. Great episode
  • @hopjumpfly
Huel is so expensive, the podcast is so good! Markus is so smart.
  • The ‘loved it, loathed it’ and love letter for yourself segment was absolute gold
  • This interview was incredible. I had to listen over and over. Such a passionate real conversation. Loved it.
  • Excellent job 👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
  • @SebTeh
Love a transformational story! Super inspiring as I’m transforming my dyslexia to a personal strength.
  • I did the Clifton’s Strength Report three years ago and was surprised to learn that ‘achievement’ is a strength. Bring my number one strength shed a light in part of my characteristics that in the past have been described as ‘full on’ or ‘over achieving’. As a CEO and founder I now use this to energize. Each day I make a note of the small wins as well as the big ones to remind my small team and I that we are making strides even it may not seem like it. Thank you again Steven for another insightful conversation and another great book recommendation. Ludwina from Australia xxx
  • As a student nurse hes bang on in what he says about teams and nursing imo 🙌🏼
  • @chriseagland
What a superb interview. Incredible knowledge and insight from such a genuine gentleman. Great interviewing technique. You really allowed Marcus the space to share and flourish. Thank you.
  • @aidan7413
So much food for thought in this one. I find myself reevaluating areas of my life every single time I listen to an episode
  • I freaking LOVE Strength Finders! And all assessments that point us towards our natural inclinations and any work place that honors the uniquely human performing the job.
  • @smar4433
7 minutes in and as a speech therapist I'm amazed by his stammering story just wow and how 😮
