Great video with complete information about retina and it is helpful to understand the function of retina
  • Great video! Helped a lot! I just wanted to clarify something, my teacher talks about TRANSDUCTION (turning electromagnetic energy (light) into electrochemical energy) where does this happen? In the photoreceptors, bipolar cell or ganglion?? Thank you!
  • @SMARTINDIAN1011
Transduction occurs in photo-receptors only. All other neurons such as bipolar, ganglion, horizontal and amacrine are influenced by light only via direct or indirects synaptic interaction with photoreceptors Hope that clarifies your question reference: neuroscience exploring the brain 3rd edition Page 290 - 296

low your voice a little bit and you'll receive a trophy

I learned this a year ago and it was like I caught amnesia.
  • This video of mine talks about transduction (although it does not explicitly use that term) in vision. watch?v=F-cCZrPTFBQ
