Genesis 34:8-17 " But Hamor spoke with them, saying, " The soul of my son Shechem longs for your daughter. Please give her to him to be his wife. 9 Make marriage with us. Give your daughters to us, and take our daughters for yourselves. 10 You shall dwell with us, and the land shall be open to you. Dwell and trade in it, and get property in it." 11 Shechem also said to her father and to her brothers, " Let me find favor in your eyes and whatever you say to me I will give. 12 Ask for as great a bride price and gift as you will, and I will give whatever you say to me. Only give me the young woman to be my wife." 13 The sons of Jacob answered Shechem and his father Hamor deceifully, because he had defiled their sister Dinah. 14 They said to them, " We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one who is uncircumcised, for that would be a disgrace to us. 15 Only on this condition will we agree with you- that you will become as we are by every male among you being circumcised. 16 Then we will give our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters to ourselves, and we will dwell with you and become one people. 17 But if you will not listen to us and be circumcised, then we will take our daughter, and we will be gone." "( Genesis 34:8-17 ESV Study Bible.)

Hello I do have a question, my preacher in the church is telling us that we should be celebrating the Resurrection Day on the 17th of April because it's mentioned in the Bible that on the 14th of April Jesus asked Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the Passover, that we may eat, because this is the date that God told the Jews to keep the Passover in. Is this correct because I'm kind of confused/ unsure if I should be doing this? Thanks in advance!

Matthew 22:1-14( The Parable of the wedding Feast) "22 And again Jesus (😊1st❤) spoke to them in parables, saying, 2 " The Kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son, 3 and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. 4 Again he sent others servants, saying, " Tell those who are invited, " See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast." 5 But they paid no attention and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, 6 while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. 7 The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, "The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy. 9 Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find. 10 And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good. So the wedding hall has filled with guests. 11 But the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. 12 And he said to him, " Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but a few are chosen." "( Matthew 22:1-14ESV Study Bible) 1 Peter 2:9 " 9 But you are a chosen race😊❤, a royal pristhood😊❤, a holy nation😊❤, a people😊❤ for his😊❤ own possession😊❤, that you may😊❤ proclaim( "proclaim" or declare or proclaim😊❤ the excellencies😊❤ of him😊❤ who(😊100%❤) called you( "you" or us today too in Christ 😊❤ 😊❤ 😊❤😊❤ 😊❤ 😊❤ 😊❤) out of darkeness into his😊❤ marvelous😊❤ light😊❤."( 1 Peter 2:9 ESV Study Bible) Speaking of light, Jesus our Lord(Jesus😊1st❤) and our savior(Jesus😊1st❤) said he(Jesus😊1st❤) is the light of the world. Jesus said and the Bible said, in John 8:12( under the context of I Am the Light of the world( John 8:12-30( I Am the Light of the world) the Bible said in John 8:12 "12 Again Jesus(😊1st❤) spoke😊❤ to them❤, saying, " I am the light of the world. Whoever( " whoever" means anyone😊❤) follows 😊❤ me😊❤ will not walk in darkness, but 😊❤ will have 😊❤ the light😊❤ of life😊❤."( John 8:12 ESV Study Bible. Amen to what Jesus said in John 8:12 and what our Lord, Jesus😊1st ❤ said in John 8:12b ESV Study Bible)

More update version in Christ for part 1. Part 1 in Christ❤. Pause in Christ in Matthew 22:23a of Matthew 22:23-32( Sadducees ask about the Resurrection) also share Matthew 22:23-24  too at the end here in Christ Matthew 22:23( a) "23(a) The same day Sadducees ... "( Matthew 22:23a ESV Study Bible)(  the word, " Sadducees " how about  we will word- study on this in Christ. The word " Sadducees" which  they appeared in Matthew 3:7 remember? "7  But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism,..."( Matthew 3:7a ESV ESV Study Bible ( Do  remember Paul the Apostle of Christ Jesus was also once a pharisee too before by God's grace( Ephesians 2:8 ) and Jesus' grace( 2 Corinthians 12:9),  he saw Jesus himself in Acts 9:1-19( The Conversion of Saul) or Acts 9:1-19( Saul's conversion)and Acts 9:12b-31(Saul in Damascus and Jerusalem) and was transformed by Jesus (😊1st❤ ) our Lord too totally different in Christ and for Christ in NT in Christ. anyway the word " "Sadducce" "They are a  small group who derived their authority from activities of the temple. They were removed from the common people by Aristocratic and priestly influence as well as by their cooperation with Rome's rule( in Jesus' time). "( ESV Study Bible) From my ESV Study Bible on hands in Christ, it mentioned Jewish groups at the time of New Testament. There were : The Sudducees, the Essenes, the Pharisees today we will study on " The Sadducees" only my Bible  said, "Sadducees" " The Sadducees, including the high priest Caiaphas ( A.D.18-36), were primary of wealthy, priestly families in Jerusalem. Josephus9 claim they were unfriendly- even to one another- and were unpopular(  Jewish war 2.166;  Jewish Antiquittes 13.298). They could be cruel judges( Joseophus, Jewish Antiquities 20.199; Mishnah, Sanhedrin 7.2; Makkot 1.6). When Jesus disrupted  their financial interests in the temple, he was arrested and condemned( Mark 11:15-19; 14:53-63). James, the brother of the Lord, was  later killed by a Sadducean high priest( Josephus, Jewish Antiquities 20.200). The Sadducees rejected the extrabiblical traditions of the pharisees, perhaps embracing only the Pentateuch as canonical( Josephus, Jewish Antiquitites 13.297; 18.16). This narrow canon may explain why they( The Sadducees) did not  in the general resurrection  of the dead(Mark 12:18; Act 4:1-2; 23:6-8), since it is not explicitly mentioned in the Pentateuch."( ESV Study Bible. ) So far we know that The Sadducees do not in Resurrectiok  of the dead but the Pharisees  i trust God they do believe in the resurrection of the dead so it make sense for Paul in the Bible in Christ more prone  to trust in Jesus 😊1st❤ as his Lord(Jesus😊1st❤) and as his savior(Jesus😊1st❤). If Paul in the Bible was a Sadducees ( which not truth) and not a Pharisee then i think it will hardly for Paul to trust in Jesus' resurrection but since priaise God for chosen Paul born in a pharisee home and as a Roman citizen too.and Pharisees believe in the resurrection of the dead so when Jesus resurrection from the dead after he was innocent nailed on the cross, died, buried, and three days later more than 2000 years ago, Jesus has risen or resurrected make perfect sense to Paul naturally in Christ. Anyways, we will hopefully words- study on "The  Pharisees" in the future but meanwhile resume back to words study on " The Sadducees" again "....  they( The Sadducees) did not  in the general resurrection  of the dead(Mark 12:18; Act 4:1-2; 23:6-8), since it is not explicitly mentioned in the Pentateuch. Perhaps for the same reason, ( now pay attention in Christ) they( The Sadducees) embraces humanly responsibility, which is the emphasized in the Law of Moses( for example( e.g.) Genesis 4:7; Deuteronomy 30:19-20), in constrast to the determinism of the Essene( Josephus, Jewish War 2.164; Jewish Antiquities 13:173). Jesus when arguing for the resurrection:) ( Mark 12:18-27), ( will it later again), meet the Sadducees on their own ground by showing the implication of Exodus 3:6 instead of appealing to a more straightforward passage ( e.g Daniel 12:2 "2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting comtempt."( Daniel 12:12 ESV Study Bible) Now we know that "The Sadducees  do  not believe in the Resurrection of the dead and they do not believe in an afterlife too. But the Pharisees ( again Paul by God's grace and His mercy in Christ, encounted Jesus Paul was( past tense) once a pharisee but Paul( former Pharisee  before Jesus revealed himself to him by His grace( 2 Corinthians 12:9:) ) So now we also indirectly in Christ that Pharisees do believe in the resurrection of the dead. To me, I  thank God for that Jesus' resurrection( Luke 24:1-12( The Resurrection) and Matthew 28:1-10( The Resurrection ) of Jesus our Lord(Jesus😊1st❤) and  our savior ( Jesus😊1st❤) in Christ. Also Thank God for Pharisees also believe in an afterlife. We in Christ trust in Jesus(😊1st❤) will eternal life by faith ( trust) in Jesus(😊1st❤) in Christ I think the Bible also stresses that the  Pharisees also believed in the realm of the spirit. I8o praise God for the Holy Spirit😊❤ ( our helper😊❤ in Christ😊❤)and Pharisee believes in angels. I thank God for  there are good angels in heaven in Christ ans I thank God for Paul the apostle of Christ Jesus(😊1st❤) from a pharisee to a chief of sinners and later He was inspired by Jesus😊1st❤ or By  the  good God of  Bible in Christ Again i quoted what Jesus said, in  John 10:30 " I and Father( God😊100%❤, our Father in heaven) are one."( John 10:30 ESV Study Bible)   Thank God for the Pharisees  also believes in the realm of the spirit and angels. I thank God for there is the Holy Spirit( our helper😊❤ in Christ😊❤) and there are good angels in heavens in Christ too in Christ. Besides the Bible  talked about  Matthew 22:23-32( Sudducees  ask about Resurrection), in the book of gospel of  Mark too , it also said, Mark 12:18-27( The Sadducees ask about the Resurrection) hopefully get back to it in the future with different angles in listening or seeing or reading Scriptures in Christ. So help me God. In Jesus'name, i pray( resume back to Matthew 22:23-32( Sudducees  ask about Resurrection) and hopefully Mark 12:18-27( The Sadducees ask about the Resurrection) too but need to go back to Matthew 22:23-24) Amen. Now back to Matthew 22:23-24 "22 The same day Sadducees came to him(Jesus😊1st❤), who say there is no resurrection, and they ask him(  our Lord and our savior Jesus😊1st❤ ) a question, 24 saying, " Teacher, Moses said, " If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his  brother.' "( Matthew 22:23-24 ESV  Study Bible) In Matthew 22:23 b "... they( Sadducees) asked him( Jesus😊1st❤ our Lord and our savior in Christ ) a question "( Matthew 22:23b ESV Study Bible) My ESV Study Bible said, " In  order to trap him( Jesus our savior in Christ) theologically. They assumed that thoss who believe in a resurrection( which they do not believe in resurrection from Matthew 22:22b "... there is no resurrection..." they said in Matthew 22:23b) life think it is like the present life, suggesting that a woman who has been married more than once will be found guilty of incest after resurrection. They hope hereby to show that the idea of resurrection is really absurd "( ESV Study Bible) We in Christ today do trust  Jesus and in His resurrection in Christ from Matthew 28:7😊❤ , Matthew😊❤ 28:1-10( The Resurrection😊❤ );Mark😊❤ 16:1-8( The Resurrection😊❤);   Luke😊❤ 24:1-12( The Resurrection) and John😊❤ 20:1-10(The Resurrection😊❤)
