Just did this and I have a couple of notes. If you have a lot of hair, the sections are difficult to wrangle, so be patient and try to make them even as you can. Keep in mind that it seems all of the butterfly cut videos have the center part, so for those of us who gasp part on the side, you’ll have a heavier section that needs thinning bc it’ll be too chunky. I have professional-ish shears and thinning shears coming so I can refine things and soften things up on that thicker side. I was able to trim off 3-4” and still maintain decent length. Bring your patience and trust and this video on repeat. It does work! You may just need to go back and refine a bit after a blow dry to see where any chunks are. Hope this helps!😊

THANK YOU for not wasting our time, and just getting to the point!

I want to give a big thanks for keeping the end result w straight hair. It’s annoying when everything gets hidden in curls with other tutorials. I love how you filmed with simplicity. Thank you! Thank you!

Finally a video that’s straight to the point. Not 10 mins worth of talking. Great job!

I'd start at the front ponytail. If you start too short in the back and try to match them all, you could end up shorter than you want in the front.

OMG I just tried this on my daughter’s overdue hair and it came out perfect, as if she has gotten her haircut at the salon. So easy, thank you for this!
  • I've been doing this for 4 years and I've gotten so many nice compliments. I've also kept my lenght and it grew a lot in those four years
  • Someone please explain to me why this comes out so much better doing it yourself over getting a bad chop from a cheap salon? Like can’t even they at least do this? I just don’t get why I need to suffer with paying outrageously for a decent haircut OR be more frugal but get the worst cut. Someone explain this to me?
  • I’m a guy with shoulder length hair…. I just did this in 20 minutes… hair looks and feels great 👍🏻 £60 saved 😂 Thanks for this post!!

I just did this yesterday, I thought I messed my hair up at first even though I followed the video to the t, but I did it!! I just had to keep blending!! Had a very big dramatic change in my hair!! Stumbled on this on accident, it’s perfect for me!!❤
  • @FriendOfChrist
excellent lesson and very easy to follow. (And it turned out great! Looks like I went to the salon!)
  • @KarenM5981
Omg I followed this tutorial yesterday and my hair looks gorgeous!! I will never go to a salon again. I wish I could show a picture.

From the last 8 years, i have never been to salon for my hair cutting. As i always like to cut my own hair and do it just my way, the length i want, the bangs and many more❤
  • @EstelleDavid
you need to cut to the same length; the result after the cut will give you locks of different lengths forming layers on the lengths, once the hair gains the natural lengths longer at the back and short in the front and for more volume and movement after styling..
  • My hair was down past my bottom, and I finally got the courage to try this tutorial. My hair looks and feels so much better. This is such an easy tutorial to follow. Thank you for posting ! 😊

Perfect! Love it! I’m a hairstylist who no longer works (SAHM) so trying to find someone good and getting out of the house to get a haircut is mentally and emotionally exhausting! This is one of the best haircuts I’ve given myself, Thank You!!!! Turned out beautiful ♥️
  • @ltlhorrorhub
