Bryant and Amy purchased a property for a weekend getaway for their young family, but they had no idea the treasure trove that was hidden on the land. They found a huge cave and became inspired to make something out of it. So they built a luxury, modern cave home inside! It's nearly 1500 square feet and includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In this video, they take you on a tour and explain the challenges they faced when building a cave home. They now rent the cave house out to guests!

“We forgot to have a budget” 😂😅 must be nice to be able to forget.

It's nice to have money. Update: Some feel that this statement is necessarily bad. There is no derogatory meaning in the statement itself. It is what it is: a statement most likely true.

Something I particularly appreciate about the design of this cave home are the master bedrooms being spaced apart on opposite sides of the cave for that added privacy. It's a small thing but really nice to see!

I’m staying here this Christmas with my family. Speechless is the best descriptor of this home.
  • I personally would love to see more on the building and engineering of the house. This was allot more why I chose color and my cabinets and not enough about the engineering and what we had to do to get past these problems and what engineering features we added to it to make it a more livable structure. Like the dehumidifiers and the drainage and just basic wiring and water stuff also.
  • - 2:38 you're a blessing for adopting another kid. 🙏🏽 I personally gave my son up for adoption, it was the hardest thing I ever did, however the family allows me to fly to see him anytime I want, they were unable to have children and flew all the way to me. I almost changed my mind and realized, this family is a blessing, they even signed if i wanted him back I could at any time and also that they will fly me to see him anytime, and want current photos of me and cards so that he knows his biological mother as well. I'm so happy to see this family adopt as wel

I really wanted to know how they got power and water. No mention.

“We forgot to have a budget” must be nice to be able to spend whatever you want and not worry.

I don't know if I'd ever want to leave this place. I would cry every time I had to leave. 🙂 Thank you for sharing.
  • A truly amazing realisation of a dream home! You must feel such a great sense of accomplishment.
  • People burn patchouli because they say it has a good dirt smell so I don't know why they would have a problem with living in a place that smelled like Earth. People are overly sensitive to natural things because they're so used to smelling artificial things.

I have a cave man in our family. My sister married a guy who lived in a cave. Actually it was an old salt mine or something, and they had a driveway that went right into the cave. It housed a whole bunch of people. It was sort of like a commune I guess. They had a huge kitchen and pretend windows that would light up slowly in the morning and go black at night, so it felt like day and night in the cave. They also had their own school right in the cave. It was quite self sufficient and some people did not leave for weeks at a time. My sister was one of the teachers there. I've always wanted to live in an underground home. Someday when my ship comes in...

Beautiful creation, Artistic style and beautiful, one of a kind I can’t stop admiring your place. Lovely family indeed!!!

That place where the wall is damp and water is coming in is perfect for Moss!!! The 30+ Moss species all have a unique style and texture and it is easy to precisely grow it where you want it. You can make an awesome design on that wall. Also, this is the benefits of moss: Moss has possibly the best air cleaning and oxygenating capabilities of any plant, so is one of nature's best air filters, helping to naturally clean the air we breathe. Moss has the natural ability to absorb and metabolise fine dust, converting particles into natural and harmless biomass. If you decide to go with the Moss idea than please upload a video or send pictures!!! Thanks 🙏
