BMW have wowed the world with the new color changing iX Flow at CES 2022. the BMW iX Flow Featuring E Ink can transform in front of our very eyes, on a stand that also features the new iX M60 and BMW Theatre Screen. Check this out!

Using technology akin to that found in an e reader, the iX Flow Featuring E Ink wears a skin across the entire bodywork and also within the wheels, that has the ability to switch between two colours in full or even in part. As a proof of concept it is brilliantly executed to allow the imagination to consider ways to use this technology; from sensors detecting you arriving and putting text on the side, to changing from black to white in hot or cold conditions to keep the car pleasant inside.

In addition to the iX Flow, BMW are also teasing the new Theatre Screen, a 31" 8K ultra wide-screen entertainment system for passengers in the rear of an upcoming model in their line-up, with Amazon Fire and more linked in.

Then we can move to also take a look at the iX M60, with BMW M taking their hand to the electric SUV and raising power to 610hp, with up to 1,100Nm of torque and a 0-60mph time of just 3.6 seconds.

As cars become more and more about technology, the shift to electronics shows and events will be even more pronounced, but BMW certainly know how to steal the show!

Note: color vs colour... As a Brit it should be 'colour', but for a video filmed in the US, for a channel with predomint US audience, on a US platform, 'color' it is.

Thanks for watching, Tim

One step closer to having Bond’s invisible Aston Martin from Die Another Day. This is seriously crazy.

Like a Chameleon and Cuttlefish. Predator springs to mind and I can imagine the military going for adaptive camouflage to blend in with whatever environment it’s in. Very impressive.
