After a dramatic scene where Jesus forgives a woman caught in adultery, an intense dialogue ensues as the religious leaders mock Jesus, try to discredit Him, and make foolish statements to defend their narrative. As we watch both of these scenes unfold in John 8, we see the stark contrast between the bondage of legalism and the grace, freedom, and forgiveness found in Jesus Christ.

    I love Brett Meador's teaching, especially since he uses the long-time trusted King James Bible. As far as Jesus knowing when His time had come, it had to be that exact Passover year, because of the Daniel 9 prophecy which clearly stated the number of years from the time of the decree to rebuild Jerusalem until the coming of the Messiah, and Zechariah included the fact that He would be coming into Jerusalem lowly, on the colt of a donkey. So on that special Nissan 10 when the Lord entered Jerusalem from the path down the Mount of Olives, the people received the spotless Lamb of God, and four days later, on Nissan 14 He was crucified. It fulfilled the prophecies concerning Him.

    The Lord showed me this John 8 - Jeremiah 17 fulfillment several years ago. Stephen Armstrong and Rabbi Jim Pickens (amazing men of God who are now deceased) taught on this and confirmed. This is the first other explanation I have heard. Very in depth and heart warming, Thank you!

    My step father killed himself after getting sober and stayed sober for 22 years. He had a liver transplant and the rejection medicine left him weak and he didn't want anyone taking care of him. Used to teach Sunday school and he knew the Lord but he said he didn't see anything in the Bible about suicide. I asked my mother, what about tho shall not kill? I don't know where he went. I also used to say, "Amen and Amen" saying Amen to God and Jesus. But, Jesus said, "why are you saying Anen twice? The Father can't hear you, why do you think I AM here?
