Many years ago in late summer I was in my yard and a swarm of about 10 Monarchs all started flying all around me and I was completely amazed at what was happening.  Then they took off.  I do have a number of butterfly buses in my yard and other flowers, but I had never seen that many and they were flying all around me.  It felt like a dream.

We'll be recommending this film to the students in our Plants & Pollinators course!
  • Milkweed grows wild on my rural farm in east central Missouri. At the end of the growing season I mow the plants to encourage new growth. I have been successful over the years and the beautiful butterflies can pit stop here.
