There is actually a way to reverse a loop without having to cut it and stuff...but you can only do it with the piano roll. Let’s say you have a 4 bars chord progressions...press ctrl+A to select every note. Then press alt+Y to open score flipper tool. Select “flip horizontally ” and press accept. Now if you render that pattern the notes will be playing backwards. And here comes the trick....if you reverse the rendered file the you don’t have to do all that cutting and shit. Hope this helped.

for those who want a quick technique for what Nick did at 4:50 is to hover your cursor on the sample hold left shift and scroll up or down to move it left or right respectively...
