HYBE LABELS JAPAN’s first global boy group audition program, “&AUDITION - The Howling -.”
For this project, there are 11 trainees and four members of the debut group from I-LAND, K, NICHOLAS, EJ, TAKI.
Their story begins as the debut group meets the trainees. As excitement builds over their first meeting, they are given their very first mission, the group signal song mission! Written especially for the show, the boys must practice the signal song, “The Final Countdown,” and be evaluated by the producers.
As they practice hard, they face hardship and adversity. But they pull together and gradually become one team!
Then on the day of the performance, a surprising evaluation method is announced! What will be the fate of the debut group and the trainees?

One thing I loved about the whole of Howling was there was no unnecessary drama like other survival shows. They tried to keep the childish innocence as much as possible amidst this severe competition.

Hikaru saying "excuse me" everytime he open his locker says a lot about his personality.

Taki has improved SO MUCH. He gives of a different energy because his skills have improved since iland. Was a blessing in disguise that he didn’t debut then as he would have struggled, I look forward to seeing him debut in this group!

The &BALL strategy is so smart. It's so simple, yet so effective in reminding the trainees that this audition is all for the team. All auditions before put the emphasize on the individuals which doesn't make any sense. I just came here after watching their debut MV and boy, did the strategy work. They sound united. Congrats.

Seriously I feel it borderlines abuse! K, EJ, Nickolas and Taki have literally been through so much and it’s taken the joy and excitement out of watching this too see them threaten their debut. I’m honestly in shock they would do that.
