The only thing that is more traumatising than these fatalities is knowing the relationship between these characters ripping each other apart.

I remember this story of when this game dropped and some of the programmers had to seek therapy after making this game for symptoms of PTSD. Those programmers traumatized THEMSELVES for our entertainment. That’s dedication.

I recommend looking into the story of this game if you want a good idea as to whats going on for the fatalities. Shang Tsung's second fatality shows him actually resurrecting kintaro, one of Shao Kahn's (late and former) Mortal Kombat Champions Also, friendships were a thing they introduced in mk2 in response to the angry politicians and parents not liking fatalities

If you think the licensed DLC characters for MK11 are crazy, you need to react to MKX (The title before) because they have the likes of both Jason Voorhees and Leatherface

The reason a lot of these characters don't look quite right is because they're using alternate costumes that change their primary colors or change them into alternate versions of themselves who may be evil or zombies or evil zombies.

You may not know this but Noob Saibot (portal guy) is named after the last names of the two original creators of the series spelled backwards. Ed Boon (Noob) and John Tobias (Siabot). 👍👍😆

The thing with mortal kombat is that when it comes to guest characters they love to get creative on who’s in the roster they added robocop, Rambo, terminator, freedy Kruger, Jason voorhess, leather face, alien, and ever predator

Fun Fact: Raiden's red lightning is due to the corruption of his soul after wearing the Shinnok amulet in Mortal Kombat X. He's also been corrupted in the past but due to time travel shenanigans he tried to prevent said previous corruption. And now my head hurts lol

Loved the video, bummed one of Noob Saibot's fatalities was skipped though. D'vorah's 'wait is this why people are afraid of spiders?' Is my favourite fatality in the game.

Sindel had her debut all the way back in Mortal Kombat 3 in arcades and consoles like the Sega Genesis and SNES and had appeared in other games before this one. Shang Tsung was the final boss in the first Mortal Kombat and his design in this game is based off of the actor who played him in the first Mortal Kombat movie, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. He even got him to do the voice for the character.

So the video you watch actually forgot one, Noob Saibot has two like everyone else, and his second one is one of the most brutal ones in this game.

21:53 No, it's more like brothers by weapons(don't remember how to say that normally in English). They both was in Shaolin and both were trained by Bo'Rai Cho, significant character in MK history and lore.

26:40 - In fact, some of the Mortal Kombat 11 developers were diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after making this game.

I forgot when this was said in an interview but Ed Boon did say that some of the Fatalities, at least for MK 1, had to be balanced between over the top gore and absolutely absurd to ridiculous levels. I think he did say that there are some things they can’t make and there are “some” levels of restraint, if there are any, that they have to follow. I know that in MK 9 the dlc character Skarlet got NRS in some hot water because her fatalities included bathing in her opponents blood which is part of her character but also really pushed the envelope back then.
