2021, the 5th?
Yeah, our local fireworks were supposed to be on the 4th like most towns but just when the show was about to start the emergency firetruck ran over one of the main cables for setting them off and damaging it beyond repair.
That left about 10k people leaving town disappointed.
I returned the following night for the rescheduled show and there were maybe 2k people so it was fairly quiet during the fireworks. That was fine because on the 4th there was very loud music from the nearby restaurant.
They shot them off from a new location so I wasn't sure what was the best angle etc...
My smaller lens would have captured more of the higher ones but overall I think it was just right.
The noise you hear in the foreground is the ocean. We had a large swell and I was maybe 20' from the water.
Watch/listen to the end after the last explosion when the screen is dark for some comments from an observer. It was kind of funny.
I used the Panasonic GH5 and the Leica 100-400mm lens. 4k 60fps.
The audio is directly from the camera's built-in mic.

Quiet crowd last year as the fireworks were rescheduled for the 5th due to technical issues on the 4th. Maybe 2k people vs 10k on the 4th. Listen to the end for commentary from the peanut gallery.
