Hey data nerds πŸ‘‹, in this video I'm talking about my online bachelors in Computer Science degree. I'm happy to finally put this video out because many of you are curious about it. And, if the recession is indeed coming, what's the better way to prepare for the future than going back to school to study something useful πŸ˜‰πŸ€“. I'll be going over an overview of the program, the duration and time commitment. Then I'll drill down into the curriculum of each year and give you an overview of the main topics I learned in the modules. I realized it was very hard to cover everything, but hope this video gives you an insider look into the program and see if it fits your needs.

Thank you for watching and have a great day! πŸ€—

Really interesting to hear all this! I have looked into studying and working full time, but have not committed to it yet. It's not so much the cost, but the time, and deciding the real reasons why I think I want a Masters degree. There's also a matter of which institution has a better reputation within the industry - In my industry (not "iT" related), for the same qualification it seems like some institutions cater to people in management who need to tick a box to get promoted, and others are aimed at people with, or looking at a technical career.
  • Congrats Thu for your accomplishment. Cheering you on to your future endeavors.

Hi Thu Vu, thank you for making this video! I was contemplating whether or not to take up this Degree as there was quite a few bad reviews (especially on reddit). Your review helps a lot in making my final decision. Thank you again and all the best for your final project!! πŸ™†πŸ»β€β™€

Thank you for this! I am gearing up to take another bachelor's in CS to learn the foundations and eventually shift into IT project management/IT Business Analysis! More power to your channel πŸ₯°
  • Thank you so much for the video. I wish i was was focussed as you are when i was your age. I'm 40 years old and dont hold a degree as i had to start working immidiatly out of school. I worked for the banking industry for over 15 years and to be honest lied to my self saying i didnt need a degree anymore . However a year back i took a break from work to focuss on my son who is now 4 and give him the father that i never had. Im not a person who can just sit idle so i started a small business and also started fidling around courses in coursera . I never though i would love computer science and programming but i realise my curious little mind is tickled with everybit i lear about it. So now i am cosidering getting i to tech and also considering the qualifications i should obtain. I know im older but i keep my self fit and my mind active . Sorry for the long post but it showcases how much you ispire people for them to pour out their hearts after watching a video. I would apprecite any advice you or anyone in the comments could provide . Thank you all

Thu, loved the perspective you shared on why you chose going for a Bachelor's over a Master's... I'll be honest, I've never really thought of it this way and your content shows that you've obviously learned a lot from the Bachelor's alone! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Thanks so much for the review. I think I’d opt for a second master’s if and when the time comes 😊
