Is the Princess F55 all the boat you'll ever need? In this in-depth review and sea trial, we put this mid-size flybridge cruiser to the test in challenging conditions and discover whether it is the most rounded model in the Princess Yachts flybridge range.

The F55 could be the perfect sub-60ft owner-run cruising machine. It has three cabins with two doubles and a twin which can be converted to a double at the touch of a button and ample outdoor living space between the cockpit, flybridge and foredeck.

Twin Volvo Penta D13 800hp or 900hp engines on shaft drives provide 30-knot performance and feel comfortable at various cruising speeds.

Underneath the handsome exterior is an interior with an impressive amount of volume on both decks that is finished to Princess’s usual high standards.

  • Welcome back Jack with a Yacht Review Channel for the Digital age that actually shows a yacht in its natural environment and does not use a GoPro Camera to record the Exterior and Interiors and is actually tested in a maritime location
  • Glad to see you back , always enjoy your reviews , look forward to catching these and many more 😎

I love the layout of Princess yachts! Simplicity and function with beautiful style. Probably my favourite brand among yachts.
  • Great job as always Jack. I like seeing a proper review more than just a tour. Thanks for the info.

Comprehensive review Jack this size of boat is probably my favourite size.Easy to handle great comfort and very useable deck spaces
  • Fab review of a fab boat. Princess never fails to impress and this is just lovely. I cant really think how this could be better and if I had the cash, this is where it would go.
  • @pattills3
Very clean lines...looks like an ease to manage. Love the performance aspect of your videos.

Princess, are the company that decide FOR you that you are not allowed to have a tender garage in this size segment unless you also have an open boat. Galeon are the company that let you make the choice of tender/crew space for yourself, including models substantially smaller than this.
  • I always like a Princess yacht, they just always get it right. 👍❤️🇬🇧

Nice to see you back. Great review as always, especially with the sea trial and clear pricing.
  • I like the format you use, it's more real, enjoyable tour yet again, good job.
  • Watched all your videos on new channel. This boat is the best, love it. Something that I think more flybridges will consider is a rolling soft top that just slides out and covers the flybridge. No covers needed. I could also seek to have the back of the boat have a cover so that it could be used in winter. Having to turn the generator on to raise the TV would do my head in. Overall though love this boat.

Loving the videos Jack, great to see the boats out on the water rather than just a walk around in the marina.

A Williams 435 is huge for this size of boat, I'm surprised it even fits on the platform. Its 90 hp version weighs the same, 435 kg so its right at the limit of the platform. Honestly I think you've made a mistake, the F55 has a beam of 4.87 meters, and the 435 is 4.35 meters in length overall. At the final frame here in 4:51 you can almost see it straight from the rear. The tender looks to be shorter than 4.35 meters, thats more than 0.52 meters difference to the beam of the boat, which in usable beam is of course much smaller so the tender if its a 435 should cover even more of the platform. Its probably a Williams 395. The Williams website's yacht fitment tool recommends the 345 and 325 Turbojet for this boat.

  • @HRkapitan
Wow what a great video, keep em coming i love it
  • Great tour of a really good boat. Lots to like here although I would like to see a bit more of the heads compartments. Loving the new channel and the top line camera work and production values. It goes without saying that Jack is up there with the very best at this.
