The Return Of Musk Ox / Siberia, Arctic areas / BUSHCRAFT in the tundra

Published 2020-03-28
The experiment of repopulating the Taimyr Peninsula with the musk ox, which began thirty years ago, has enriched Arctic biodiversity. Thirty oxen taken from Northern-America have by now formed a population of several thousand head, providing population material for other Arctic areas as well.

The film crew sets out to search for musk oxen in their new home at the northern tip of the Taimyr Peninsula in order to thoroughly get to know these bison-like animals. While following the trail of the musk ox along the northernmost latitudes of Eurasia, the crew also meets other inhabitants of these areas.

It's truly the great privilege for us to enjoy watching & admire this singular, informative & edifying doc. as regards the musk ox associated w/ those tough people surviving in such an incredibly extreme region of the world. Furthermore, it is infinitely priceless & invaluable to be able to appreciate this rare superlative & tantalizingly sublime documentary on YouTube for free. What a breathtaking & fascinating this doc.about Musk Ox w/ humans in Siberia is! It is staggeringly mesmerizing, magnificent & majestic!! It simply shows us to witness & discern how different, intriguing, & even enigmatic our planet is depending on the different regions. Besides, it also discloses how clever & tough our living beings, humans & animals, are as well as how capable of those animals & humans are in terms of their adaptability living in such an extreme tundra that could dip into -70-72C??!! Finally, I'm totally in deference to those people who had partaken in this rare & singular doc.,i.e., the photographers, sound men including that effective background music, editors, & the producers inclusive of an effectual script writer & narrator. But my special highest kudos to those photographers who must have spent well over one year in the face of such adverse & sometimes dangerous conditions. Regardless, they all deserve a huge pat on the back. Greatly grateful & gratified to the fullest,,,,,From the warmer California even at the end of Nov.2022,,,,,(11/30/22)

What a fantastic thing to do, by reintroducing Musk Oxen to Eurasia. Great documentary that has taken a lot of effort to make.
  • @loriwoloshyn7266
Magnificent creatures. Almost magical....nice to see them making a comeback.
  • What a great documentary. Musk Oxen really are prehistoric looking beasts. Those horns, the hump, and that huge mane of a coat. And the fact they're so different, a mix between cow and sheep. But very fascinating.
  • @foveauxbear
The poor musk oxen are so afraid of humans that they flee at the mere sight of them. The babies are just adorable, bleating with a sound reminding me of sheep.
  • @ggrace1133
What a wonderful video. I learned a lot. Thank you for producing this enlightening film.

It's so lovely to see our gift thriving in Russia. I was told they were aggressive from inbreeding the 30, but they seem to have the same temperament as the stock on Banks Island.
