1200F Degree exhaust! Screaming at 160 decibels. Rotating at 121 THOUSAND RPM'S! THIS, is the real deal. An airplane jet engine! Just, on a smaller scale. PERFECT, for a ....kayak? Why not?
This video documents all the steps I went through to install this little fiery beast. It only weighs 1.90kg or 4.19lbs! Yet this tiny monster creates 45 pounds of thrust. Thats a good amount of power for the new Pelican Catch PWR 100.
I know Pelican designed this kayak to accept a motor, but I may have taken it too far this time. As my life becomes more and more busy, with a business to run and a Youtube channel to maintain and now projects like THIS! I might be letting my life get a little too complicated. And this crazy kayak might just scare the heck out of the fish that I have been ignoring lately.
Something tells me that I should've just put a trolling motor on this kayak like Pelican intended. But it's too late for that now.

"Found the holes already, something must be wrong" perfect, spoken like a true fabricator/mechanic.
  • Sure Marty may be from New York... But he's definitely a certified 'Florida Man'

Greetings from the Sherwin Williams next to AeroPanda. Awesome project, video doesn’t do justice for how loud those engines are!

I can’t imagine seeing the hacksmith’s face after seeing Zoffinger create something that they tried doing but never worked.

Love crazy builds, I like doing unusual things too. Who else sees a hour video from Marty and thinks "is that all the longer it is", if he had 4 hour videos I would watch them

Hey Marty, it was great to meet you in person. My wife and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit with us and show us around your shop, especially the jet kayak before you unveil it. We loved watching the build video and can't wait to see it on the water!
  • When I woke up today I didn't think I would hear the words kayak and jet engine in the same sentence... But I am very glad that I did!!
