We are not professionals, just your average couple taking on a DIY project. If anyone is interested on how to build a shed, we hope to help them learn from our mistakes and make it easier.
Total time for the entire storage shed project to be complete was approximately 26 hours. This was due to us only working on it a few hours at a time after work on different days and weekends so it can definitely be completed a lot faster. We spent approximately $900 on this DIY build.
Most of the tools we already owned and purchased some of the video accessories from Amazon.
We purchased the following items from Lowes:
Arrow Lexington Series 10 ft x 14 ft Storage Shed Kit
7 in x 11 in x 11 in Concrete Deck Blocks
8 in x 8 in x 16 in Concrete Blocks
2 in x 6 in x 10 ft Treated Lumber
2 in x 6 in x 16 ft Treated Lumber
4 ft x 8 ft OSB Plywood

Thanks for making this video !! I suck at building things but the video helped me and I gained major confidence!! I added more support and brackets and when i was done ..even my brother was impressed..(he is like tim allen lol THANKS AGAIN!!!

My box(es) for my shed didn't look nearly as beat up as your box, yet I still found some abnormalities. However, the one thing I decided to do after reading the reviews and looking at the parts that come with the shed, I purchased some Self-Drilling Roofing Screws @ 3/4" with little rubber washers attached to them with 5/16"hex-heads. I've got the foundation about set and about to start building walls tomorrow. Decided to go with the tuff-blocks and 2x6's and plywood. I"M NERVOUS!!!!!

Usually you have to be 3-5 foot minimum from the property line. Is that not the case where you live?

I thought it was joists for floors and studs for walls.

my pressure treated 2x4 joists are bowed so even though the ends are 16 on center the middles are out of whack. any ideas on how to nail the plywood not knowing where the stud is under it?
