As a muslim i uses to blieve all of this blindly and disnt give it a second thought. Now as an ex muslims i see clearly, Allah is a deciever. He made another man suffer for nothing, and decieved millions and billions of people for hundreds and thousands of years. Obviously the true Jesus died for our sins so we get saved by gods love. Thats a much more beautiful message and faith

This just blew my mind. I was convinced the common Muslim idea of substitution was the plain meaning of Sura 4:157! Which goes to show that a cursory natural reading can be misleading. Thank you for sharing!

Great interpretation and spot on analysis

Me as a Muslim find Sheikh Iran's view most logical. This is absolutely correct. Substitution is no where mentioned in Quran. Even in Sahih hadith you'll never find. All of these years many profound muslim scholars even now are unaware of this matter. May Allah the Almighty guide them to correct path.
  • Jesus said you can kill the body but not the Spirit. God is Spirit so they cannot kill Jesus because His Spirit go to His Father.

I dont know if this guy is still alive or dead. If he is dead by now he would have known the truth in the hell fire. Or else plz someone tell him that Jesus is one true living God. He has to die for the sake of our sins. Before Jesus came to this earth, people use to give sacrifices for their sins to be forgiven. But God himself came into this world as a son of God and took all the sins of this world on him and paid the price. Thru him with him our sins are forgiven. Now nobody has to offer any sacrifices anymore. It didnt stop there. But on 3rd day he resurrected and is alive. Nobody who is dead till now resurrected but only Lord Jesus christ did. He is our God. He is our saviour. JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

David I have watched many of your vids over a number of years. I have every respect for your formidable knowledge of religions. We are all entitled to our own beliefs of course, as long as they are not harmful to others. I have spent 30 years working in the Space industry and I am inclined to believe that many thousands of years ago at the time of the Winter Solstice, humans who could see the sun and the horizon may well have been concerned that the sun went down for 3 days and then on the Third Day the Sun arose again or should I say the SON arose again. Then as now the brightest star in the sky was Sirius.. The three stars in Orion’s Belt sometimes called The THREE KINGS , ALWAYS pointed in the direction of Sirius. They still do to this day. The Three Kings always follow the STAR (of Bethlehem?). A ritual older than time itself. !
  • It actually is true they didn't kill Jesus . But it is true he was crucified. Jesus lay down his own life by choice. He said himself, I can lay down my life and I can take it up again. No man can take it from me.

I'm a muslim and this ia actually the narrative that i was taught and the one that makes the most sense. The quran never mentions substitution the verse says: "and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God.” But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so. Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him." Just a point i want to make clear to non-Arabic speaking christians. Allah isn't some name for a god its a translation of the word "God" in Arabic as evidenced by the Arabic bible using the word "Allah" as well to name god. Some other scholars argue that the substituted individual in place of the christ was judah iscariot as a punishment for betraying jesus but thats not backed by any evidence.
  • “When the literal word of a deity requires repeated, long-winded explanations from his human followers simply to prevent it being interpreted TO MEAN WHAT IT ACTUALLY SAYS, it doesn’t make a great case for divine authorship. If anything can mean anything, the whole thing becomes meaningless.” Richard Dawkins

lol this is the defintion of taking things out of context
  • @AlmamySamory1
The art of distorting words from their sense, the trait of xian preachers.
  • @jamalbaraja6130
There are intepretations by many. But the Quran clearly mentions that they did not crucify him and they did not kill him but it was made to seem so. I think Sheikh Amran is wrong im his understanding. The demise of Judas is mentioned in two places in the gospel and contradicts each other. And when the crucified one cried : Eli Eli lema sabachani. My God My God why have you forsaken me. It was a clear indication that it was not Jesus on the cross. The person was certain he had been forsaken. There is a big question mark there.
  • @gillion2700
Its the very narrative all Muslims been saying for years thats ur saying is God is unjust for... yall say someone else took the place of Jesus now thats unjust by Allah
  • Jesus died in flesh as he was a man but He is also God (the word of God who became flesh) and God cant die --bcoz God is life itself...and noone can kill God. Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the truth, the way and the life.." so you can read that Jesus said He is the life.
  • Oh maybe the person who was substituted was actually guilty of a crime that warranted crucifixion? Also a possibility...just saying...
